Not that I know of. Although I have heard of people putting their incubator on top of an electrical appliance that creates heat, such as on top of a refridgerator, computer, or television. You could always put on top of a heating duct or in front of a heating vent.

Thanks, think I got a plan. Gonna put it on a blanket on my oven which always seem to generate a little bit of heat. The jars only have a little way to go.

Take a microwaveable container thats big enough to hold heat for a while and fill it with water and nuke it to just about to boil but not boiling and put it in with your jars and check on it in about 4-5 hours and if it is cool to the touch then just repeat again!
Just dont set it too close to your jars-I wrap a towel over them(the jars) and put a thermometer in with them- I have found from my experience that if you can read 90-95 on the thermometer(and due to fluctuations in temp useing this method)the inside of the jars are about 87'f-I used a 48 qt cooler for an incubater.Just let it cool completely everytime you nuke it.

Hey it worked for me and I'm still useing it-and you might be a redneck! :stoned:

Yea I was also thinking about this, seems temperature is pretty important during colonization. I have read of people using aquarium heaters to a similar result to what doc posted, is this a good option?
How much do these cost and around how much heat do they create? The location my jars will be in is usually at about 70 degrees or a bit less so I need about another 20 degrees. Mabye if I can find a heater fan that would work pretty good
