Slimyness In MycoBag

I just picked some recently grown shrooms from a MycoBag, and noticed a clear slime on the bottom side of the mycellium hunk in the bag. It was also on shrooms that were growing out of it. The substrate was brown rice flour and vermiculite. I can't post pictures because I don't have a digital camera, but I'd like to know if these mushrooms are safe to eat.

Doesn't sound very tasty.
How do the mushrooms themselves look? Bruising/bluing/rotting? Is there a smell associated with the slime?
It's going to be hard to be definitive even with a pic, so it's going to be up to you do decide. I wouldn't eat mushrooms that stink, but I would eat mushrooms that have a small degree of bacterial contamination in the substrate. . .these infections usually have an obvious smell and if they proceed to the fruitbodies it's a pretty extensive problem. You can't go wrong with being cautious.

There wasn't a smell that I noticed and there was no bruising bluing or rotting.
I looked in the container that they have been drying in since Monday, and there is now white stuff on most of the shrooms that looks like very tiny hairs and dissapears when you rub it. The stems now have bluing or bruising but that is probably a result of me dropping them in a shoe box from waist high. Another container that has been drting shrooms since Saturday has a couple stems that have this same white substance. I am thinking this is mold, but do not know a lot about types etc.
Is it safe to eat shrooms with this white substance, possibly mold? How about caps or non affected stems that came from this same batch? And what about shrooms that are now touching the affected stems(that have had all white substance wiped off) in a bag?

Sounds fine... enjoy. The white hair sounds like mycelia... it does that when it is in a humid environment.

It's definitely not mycelium because there was only a little [myc] on the ends of some of the shrooms, now there is white shit ON the length of the stems. I tryed the batch that wasn't as bad and it went fine for the most part. There is someone who will or has tryed the ones that were from the slimy bag, and I will post any problems he has.

Hehehe... rule of thumb... if you won't eat 'em yourself... don't let anybody else eat them.

I've seen this gel several times with many different species. It tends to form on the bottom of well aged cultures and doesn't appear harmful. I am fairly certain it isn't a contaminate since there is no offensive odor and it doesn't seem to appear without healthy mycelium already present. I believe it is some sort of natural metabolitic waste that tends to accumulate on the bottom of jars, casings and even mycobags where there isn't much air circulation and evaporation.
