Coffee and coir?

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong in the following:

Okay, so I've come to understand that coir on its own has a tendency to produce weaker fruits after the first flush when used as a sub due to a low nitrogen content.
I also understand that coffee is a good way to boost nitrogen content which should in turn boost potency of the later flushes.
After finding this information out, I stumbled upon a post by sriracha stating that using coffee with coir tends to result in trich.

So, my question is, should I even attempt coffee and coir? How big of a risk is it to do so?
Also, what else can I use to boost nitrogen content that is readily available in most areas and where might I happen to find it?

Coir doesn't make your flush lose potency. It's all genetics. There is no reason to use coffee for Cubensis.

So then, using coir as substrate will result in similar results to when I use compost? No loss of potency after the first flush, just smaller flushes. Correct?

Yeah, just coir is fine. Or coir and verm. Or whatever. I don't use things that need pasteurization anymore. It's too much work.

And I'll probably be here till I die or the site goes down. I just can't quit these damn things!

5+ flushes in they're still plenty potent using only coir as a substrate.

Cool, thank you both for clarifying all this misinformation I picked up.
And yeah, I'll probably be sticking around for a long while myself 36. I totally understand now that I've gotten really into this hobby haha
