Very confused/conflicted on using black liner for mono tub among other grain 2 bulk Qs

I’m doing my first 5 grain spawn bags to bulk sub grow...

I should have nailed my research down sooner, because the more I read the more conflicted I feel about using a liner or taping the outside...

I also feel conflicted on the proper technique to recolonize my spawn with the sub...

Once I mix the sub and spawn, should a verm layer be laced across the top?

Should the spawn mixed with sub be covered with foil, with small holes poked?

Or can I simply tape all the mono holes and just put the lid on?

Lastly, during recolonization, zero light is fine and correct right?

Wait 7-10 days, and set up the mono with poly fill... Mist the sides and fan daily, or is daily fanning not necessary?

Thanks... I read several teks, but wound up more confused than when I started

Tape the wholes of your mono

I have always used a black plastic liner cut to par on the inside of the mono, trash bags work well. Cut right below the 4 side holes.

Mix 5 quarts of spawn with your coir and verm mix, never used a casing layer.

Cover and Wait 10 days, usually doesn’t take much more then that. Remove tape replace with polyfil, turn on your 4500k lights 12/12
