Negative Mass

I just realized that without antimatter.. which would swallow an object whole.. that an object with negative mass would actually float up in the air.. instead of being pulled toward the ground.. it would be pulled into the sky!

Anyone care to conjecture?

There is such a thing in physics as negative mass and negative energy (which are really one thing, of course). If wormholes can exist, negative energy would be required to open them. You would fall up from a planet made of negative mass. This all comes from a solution of Einstein's field equations, so it has some legitimacy, though perhaps not much relevance at present.

So when a body is falling from negative mass...how can it become at rest?

We can calculate a circle down to the Planck length..when the number pi ends...

One could say u could antimatter for anti-grav propulsion applications :wink:

Antimatter is also useful for fusion reactors.
