Finishing up flow hood build

Thanks community for annals of info on building a flow hood. I’m so excited to install my hepa tomorrow and see if I managed to figure everything right. I have to say, the hardest part was finding a blower that fit the specs for my 2ft X 2ft filter. i tried and failed to find a suitable salvage furnace blower near me, so I bought an ebm-papst D2E146-HT65-94 blower online for about $270. I’ll let y’all know if I get laminar flow and if this centrifugal fan is worth buying. All told, is spend roughlyt $500 on all the parts.

I googled your blower and it shows it is 230v, can you confirm this? I don't think that router speed controller is compatible with USA 2 hot wire 230v.

when I click on the pdf for details it shows the D2E146-HT65-49 as 115v maybe you have that one? Looks like on the 4th speed wiring it i will do about 460 cfm at 1.2" w.g. which is just slightly fast. Probably don't even need the speed controller.

This is the one I got: https://www.zoro.com/ebm-papst-blower-582-cfm-115v-32a-1800-rpm-d2e146-ht65-94/i/G1119413/?q=G1119413#specifications From what I understand, the ht65-94 is a 115v. Most of the spec sheet info out there on it was for the ht65-49, which is its predecessor and out of production. But their curves, speeds, etc. are all the same from what I understand.

Ah ok, yea dial it down a little bit looks like I was off reading the graph a little and it is 527 cfm @ 1.2" w.g.
Do you know what pressure your filter rates at?

I’ve got a 24*24*6 magna 1100 series 99.99% efficient filter with an initial resistance of .8 wg.

Update: I dropped my HEPA on its face. It’s all fudged up and gives the flow a bunch of turbulence. I’ve got to order a new one but everything else seemed to work fine. Dang, I was sooo close.

I ruined my filter when i dropped it while installing it, thus ruining the consistency of the flow. Though there was a bunch a turbulence when i turned it on, but I checked the pressure with a lighter. It bent at at roughly 80-90 degrees, so it has enough pressure.
