Panaeolus cinctulus sclerotia

:nerd:

We don't have many references out there today so here I am sharing my small experiment.

This formation is unique in the genus Panaeolus.

So called blue pearls...

:blueninja:

"blue stone on grain"

a rare comparison:

Sclerotia; Psilocybe mexicana versus Panaeolus cinctulus

print > mea > rye

> grains to outdoor bed

pins 10 days @ 80 F

cheers

I think I'm in the minority here but stones have never interested me...but everything panaeolus does...so I'm torn

Wonderful! Please let us know how the trip is on the blue pearls. I've been extremely curious about these ever since that once guy posted a thread on them.

Wow nice work! I'm going to try cinct print>mea>rye soon and I hope it turns out like this. Did you prepare a substrate for spawning the outdoor bed?

@SaraLove, What can I say other than Blessings to you for this!!!  I have logged on to this site for the first time in years because of your amazing post.  For years I have been wishing to try a sclerotia grow and a pan grow for microdosing but have been afraid to buy spore syringes internationally.  Your post, and the ultra rare few others like it, but mostly yours, has inspired me to hunt down a cinctulus locally and try it for the astoundingly beautiful "Blue Pearls".

Considering how rare this information is, which you are aware, could you please, pretty please please, share more information about these blue pearls?  You alluded to them being a bit stronger than the mexicana stones (what a stunning side-by-side photo you shared!).  Could you please elaborate upon the dosing, effects, and any other observations you could possibly share? Never having done anything but cubes, how are the effects?

Your contribution to this astounding new discovery is appreciated indeed.  I plan to produced some of these Pearls, experiment with them, and post my results to the world to add to this newly emerging wisdom.

Thank you thank you THANK YOU @saralove !!!

SaraLove,

I started a thread https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26032726 to explore these Blue Pearls along with other explorers.  Would you please come join us in the journey there?  I believe that this is exciting new territory to make a contribution to the world of fungi enthusiasts, and your thread was one of the pioneering pages.  Please, please PLEASE... could you please share some more about your experiences with these amazing Pearls?  There are questions bubbling within me that I would love to ask you about them.  Could you please say if you believe these to be a viable truffle for people to grow & use?  Considering that cinctulus can be locally found in most places around the world, could this, in your humble opinion, be a great truffle that people could hunt and grow themselves?  Are the effects & strength & production quantity comparible to other truffles? (you did state they were stronger than Mexicana, by how much?).  Thank you SaraLove in advance for kindly replying to the above, and hopefully for blessing us all with your presence at the other thread.

I can't find a single entry about these "blue pearls" that even mentions people having consumed them. Is it safe to say at this point that the whole thing was a wash and they're really not worth the trouble?
