another casing idea of mine
    #2553045 - 04/13/04 02:19 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

take some tupperware, put the perlite at the bottom, then put the brf/verm layer over top, and then microwave it. then inoculate and seal it. good/bad/ugly idea?

i don't know if this has been tried, but i was thinking it would be hella easy/quick and would make a casing very easy to create quickly.

what do ya'll think? i hope this hasn't been covered before...

What?s the perlite for? I?ve tried tupperwares but just with grains. After colonization you take off the lid then apply the casing layer.

I wish psychedelic mushrooms were legal, because I would like to indulge in this amazing fruit of the earth. Unfortunately, I can only learn about this interesting hobby, and cultivate legal mushrooms.

problems i can see with this:

when you innoculate, you'll be introducing alot of contams. you can try this under a flowhood, but i have a strong feeling that you won't even get it to germinate.

I'm also not too sure how well microwaving the BRF would be. it would probably kill all of the nutrients in it.
