If you get them dry seal them in a bag and your done. They will keep for years. I have a vacuum sealer which makes it easier. But you can put a straw down in a zip lock and suck the air out then seal.

Perfect those grains are fine. They will colonize. Now just squirt the syringe down the center and not more than a 1/2 cc. Do not squirt it all over it will take longer to colonize.

Looks good to me! Mine are also dry like that, except I use whole oats. The only thing I do is a good boil for 40/45 minutes till a few pop open so I know the inside is hydrated. Then 1,5 hour in the PC, cool down over night and the next day I inoculate the jars. Syringe to grain is not the best way but it worked for me also I only did one drop per jar (and give the syringe a good shake beforehand)

You will be fine! But it takes a lot of patient before you see germination on grain... I had to wait for two weeks. Maybe it was not the best syringe...

It is not important I use to use 1cc also. And as far as squirting down the middle it is not important either just don't squirt is all over if you do it is harder for the spores to find a mate and takes longer. It may be better going against the glass if you are going to shake. I usually don't shake so I go down the middle that way when the outside is colonized I know they are done. I think it is a little faster because the mycelium has 360 degrees to go. Shooting against the glass it can only move away form the glass. I am 3 week ahead on spawn so I am in no rush to get it done.

update:
3 weeks later:

all 4 jars seems good to me.. i shook jars at around 30%, after that myc recovered in less then 24hours (after 20 i saw myc again).. there is few spots of grain that didn't colonize so far (mostly on pic/jar 1 and 2), so i think it will be ready in two days max before all turns white.. is that time to spawn it or should i let them sit for day or two more to be sure they finished?
what I'm planning to do is.. prepare coir/verm/gypsum, pasteurized in 8x 720ml jars (those jars of rye are also 720ml.. my PC is to short to fit 1 quart jar inside)... i also have 7x 1/4 pint brf jars fully colonized and i will also spawn them with CVG.. my math is:
for BRF: full jar is 120ml.. i count it like 100ml since there is dry verm layer
7x 100ml.. 700ml.. so 2 full 720ml jars of CVG will give me around 1:2 ratio..
for rye: *i count every 720ml jar to be around 500ml of spawn (if they are 2/3 full)
4x 500ml.. 2000ml of spawn.. so for 1:2 ratio i need 4000ml of CVG.. so its 6 full 720ml jars of CVG...
rye spawn will be in 11L tub.. and i think i will dub-tub it and make 2x 1 inch holes on every long side of each tub (bottom and top one) (8 holes in total) and put some polyfill filter inside, and brf will be in 5L tub only with lid upside-down and grocery bag later if shrooms become to big.. I'm planning to skip colonization of mixture and put it straight to fruiting..
can someone confirm this, am I on right path? i know I'm over-thinking it a bit, but for the first time i just want to do it by notebook

Are you really going to use all your spawn on one grow? I would G2G at least one of those jars. If you G2G you will save a lot of time. I take one quart and make 12 quarts out of it in like 10 days. Then you take one of the 12 and do it again. Be smart and G2G. I am not going to try and figure out the ml thing but whatever you have you can have a lot more in 10 to 14 days.
Here is how you should do your coir it is easy and it has never failed me yet...
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11916595/fpart/1/vc/1
This is how I do my tubs with 1 1/2 pvc 4 holes at sub level and 2 higher on the ends it makes dialing in the tub easy. You can get the polly as tight or lose as you want without a problem.

If you have questions just IM me I will help out.
