I can't vote yet. Did you n00b the poll?

I'm 99% straight. Does that make me straight or other?

Im straight-ish. Had my homie suck my dick after we fucked a fat bitch together once on 800mg dxm. Was a crazy night and I didnt feel right the next day lol.

I gave a guy a handjob for some fentdope when I was really into my addiction as well.

I think this makes me not 100% straight so I put other.

EDIT: I should add that Im not attracted to males at all.

Been trying to figure out my attraction for decades.  Still don’t get it.  I’ve dated female models and felt nothing but then feel attracted to straight white dudes with weight issues and a lot of body hair and girls who ride horses and probably vote republican.  All I can say for certain is that it depends on the human.  I once fell in love with a figment of my imagination.  She was an alien and we abducted everyone at the mall and ditched them all at a lame party in New York.  I cried for two weeks when i realized she probably exists somewhere and I’ll never meet her.  Had a hard time explaining that one to anyone.  Been single for three years and I don’t do tinder and bullshit so u know what I should have just voted other

Gay as a goose here, I can appreciate women's beauty but it usually has to do more with their personality rather then physical body.  There is something hot about a lady with her head on straight that takes care of her business.

Sexually though I have a pretty set type although as I get older its less about physical traits and more about a stimulating mental connection.

I think as I get older I also get more comfortable with kinks although only when brought up by someone else.  Outside of my liking daddy types which is a kink im and of itself.

I'm going to chicken shit it and post anonymously. I've put other. Up until now I've been 100% straight, but....... in recent months I've been questioning that. I'm not questioning weather I'm gay or not I dont think that's the case but I am wondering if something is going on??

Ok I'm not really making much sense here. I like females, no doubt about that. I love the physical form of women, all shapes all sizes. I do think they can be fucking crazy af though and due to relationship experiences over the last 10 years or so I have been put off wanting to get close to anyone for a while and I think I want to stay single for a bit, at least I'm certainly not in a rush to meet anyone atm.

However I have been having thoughts of wanting to have a physical experience with another guy, I dont find men physically attractive, but I would be down with getting it on with someone if I met someone I liked.

Also, just to through something else in the mix I find (some) trans genders (is that offensive? Sorry if it is I'm not familiar with correct terminology) intriguing, like could that be the best of both worlds? IDK and the area I live in its unlikely I'll ever find out.

I think it's great that there is such a mix of people here on the shroomery and everyone is accepted for who they are not what they are.

Any who, I got this off my chest, which feels good since I dontt think I'd be able to talk to friends about it.

TL;DR I'm a straight guy but confused so voted other.

The reply to the above poster, the biggest thing I learned from having sex with a man as a bottom was the world view that women carry around with them constantly became more tangible. Viewing every person you meet as someone who could potentially fuck you is interesting. Also really helped me understand the proper way to fuck a woman from a psychological standpoint.

Become a more well rounded person

This is partly the psychology that prevents me from being with men honestly. Its a hell of a lot of trust to put into a dude I barely know, way too much tbh for casual sex. I have a variety of physical health issues on top of that fact, I'm small for my height. If I were a bit stronger and didn't have my health problems I'd be more open to the idea. But for now it shall remain a fantasy.

Obviously yeah the answer is find a guy that ideally understands all of this and is patient with me but do you have any idea how difficult dating is in the first place let alone, finding someone that you really vibe with? Its just easier to meet new people without that pressure and see if things develop organically or not. Online dating is basically one of only two ways to meet other women though. But unless I was looking for casual sex, dating guys online is a massive hell no.

Also maybe someone will says this, maybe not but inb4 "omfg cosmic I thought you were a lesbian!?!?" Well I still am technically to you

100% I agree. The fact that people find each other in the first place is absolutely astounding. Making a relationship and then having it work is a whole different ball game. So many compatibilities must work out, many of which out of our own control and come down to genetics (a study I always found interested was the vasopressin - monogamy connection, which essentially boils down the ability of one person to me more or less monogamous relative to another is their biological baseline levels of antidiuretic hormone). You gotta find someone that not only matches your neurochemistry, but also shares similar patterns in behavioral development. Opposites do not attractive. Immense similarities are the foundation of stable relationships, with small idiosyncrasies being the flavor that makes it fun. As does anal

Yeep its pretty complicated, so many variables to account for. But gotta give a special round of applause for people who can do anal like its no problem, casual sex or not. Its a delicate area as we all know, def not for me though.

Solid statistics across the world put hetero's at about 90% and only 5% or less identifying as not.

What we are seeing with that poll is that it is attracting more non-hetero people than is representative in general population.

I know it's very vogue to be supporting non gender binary minorities in the PC wave, the LGBQT identity and the like, it's getting a lot of media attention and uni campus evangelism. But that does change biology. We are animals genetically designed to breed, our plague wouldn't be so profuse if we were mostly secretly LGBQT. The parties would be awesome though.

Actually, being bi/pan/pre-op trans causes no obvious loss of breeding fitness since it doesn't preclude reproduction. Sexuality also fulfills social benefits beyond reproduction which may weigh rather strongly in social organisms who's population size is already limited by resource availability. In other words, while some level of reproduction is imperative to the propagation of a species, "more" is not always better. There is a reason humans fuck like rabbits, but don't reproduce like them.

Anyways I believe that 90% of people are attracted to the opposite gender. What I don't believe is that most of them are 100% heterosexual. I've found sexuality a lot like developing musical preferences. It's not something you're born with out of the womb, but something you develop over time with new exposures. I was "straight" for quite a while. I became pan/bi much in the same way I developed a strong taste for heavy metal which I thought was atrocious the first time I listened to it. There are still aspects of my sexuality that continue to develop. Things I think gross me out, that months later I find myself whacking it to. I really can't believe that the vast majority of people are black and white here. People aren't black and white about anything. Musical taste, politics, etc. People who expose themselves to diverse things usually take bits and pieces with them even if it may not change their overall identity. Maybe they're not exposing themselves, but that's kind of sad in my book. Being bi/pan is fucking awesome

Edit: I too remember the Kinsey scale showing the majority in the middle. But I haven't really kept up with the state of research since then. Would be interested in any input here.

Is it really that clear-cut? Either straight or not?

It's not about sexuality being clear cut, we are all animals and will shag pretty much anything if we hang around it long enough and have no other options. After the confusion of teens and the experimentation of the 20s and early 30s the vast majority (even more than before) identify as straight with no exceptions. It's an interesting way sexuality transitions through life.

We didn't get to the plague proportion we are currently at by being concerned about resources. We are devouring, destructive, adaptive animals with no equal on this planet.
For the majority of people any homosexuality is alien. It's not like new style of music or an exotic dish that takes some getting used to. It's a cold lump of ice. Neither attractive nor unattractive, just cold.
For most of my 20s I was surrounded by gay and bi people due to my work. I listened to your sort of topics in conversation then, but I came to the conclusion that it is just naive to assume anything. People will what they want, not what they are exposed to. Otherwise we could condition gay people to be straight which is obviously impossible Sure that changes with age, but that doesn't change the averages. As you said though, sexuality is a complicated and evolving thing.
There was even times I wished I was gay or bi so I could fit in better with my social group (ironic right), but that could not change anything.
While I agree with you that the 90 who identify as hetero aren't 100% that, as they age that percentage gets higher and higher as they settle and normalize into adulthood. It's much less confusing when we are older.

LOL I feel this. I've wished a whole bunch of times I could be sexually attracted to men but there's just absolutely nothing there.

I get along with them better, that's for damn sure. Women confuse the hell out of me sometimes (oftentimes).

But I've never even had so much as a gay fantasy. Never seen a man I'd want that way.

100% straight it seems, regardless of how often I've wished not to be.

It will only destroy what you are not.

Put bi, but pan would be more accurate. Actually surprised to see the majority consider themselves straight on an anonymous poll.

The parties would be awesome though.

lol, I have to agree.  I'm gay and I've always found the polls to overestimate things a bit.  That whole 10% thing goes back to Kinsey and his methodology was shabby.  You're right though, people who are marginalized are more likely to respond to questionnaires.  Doesn't mean the parties won't be as fun, just smaller.  Which is great, imo.
