When to fruit trays contradictions
    #25516919 -

Alright so I've heard way too many contradicting statements from people on here about when you should put your tray into fruiting. I've seen some people say that you fruit it as soon as you see it mycelium coming through the top layer and I've seen people say wait till fully colonizes and then wait a week after, or I've also even seen people say they put it in to fruiting right after spawning.  I mean really what is it

"fruiting conditions" from spawning works well IMO

All ways work. Try them all and see what you like best. In my experience with fruiting conditions at spawning, if you put a layer of sub over your grains as a psuedo casing, the pinset favors the myc that pokes through sooner, making it a circumstance where one would patch if they wanted even growth. Exposed grains worked better for my pinset when putting to fruiting conditions at spawning. For the sake of the pinset, if I'm using a real casing, I'll seal it off and patch case to get the most even results as far as myc coming into the casing. Everything seems to be more uniform that way. However, your results are going to be very random across the board if you're using multispore.
