Mega Grow
    #25516506 -

Hey everyone, so with the success of some mono-tubs from my first grow i am going to attempt something... different.

A mega grow.

Now i know there are those crazy people out there with grow rooms full of mushies, but i think it would be interesting to try and pull this off for a second round.

I will be growing with a humidifier system in order to optimize FAE. With a 12/12 light cycle and this tub. Coir Verm Coffee Gypsum, Rye for Spawn.

But that's not all folks. Not one, but two of these big bastards, with 4 mono's for good measure.
Will update as the project progresses.

Why do you need a humidifier to optimize FAE? People grow in open air just misting.

I'd squash the coffee especially, but coir (only) works just as well as any mix I've tried (IME), and presents fewer contamination vectors... How are you getting light to them in those?

I'll watch!

Just wanting a nice set and forget option, using one (or perhaps a cool mist) will just give me the peace of mind knowing the fae is optimal.

That's humidity or RH(relative humidity)... FAE  Is frequent air exchange and has nothing to do with moisture... Aside, an unmodified monotub with the lid flipped takes care of all that and is about as set and forget as it gets LOL...

Will be cutting the lid and sealing a piece of plexiglass, then having a single light hooked above the tubs on a 12/12 timer

You don't need plexiglas.

There's a whole procedure, even pictures of canopies as a result of the practice... I understand wanting to go "automated", but it's more trouble, and will likely cause trouble

If it's not a box with holes (or sometimes without holes) chances are it's too much work.

Just an Update, Ordering grain for spawn, doing grain to grain transfers, will hopefully harvest will be ready by start of next year. Harvested 300 dried grams from 3 monotubs, so this should be one hell of a grow .
