Questions about "fuzzy feet"

Hey guys,

Working on first grow and I have some questions about fuzzy feet...at least I believe that's what it is based off of my research. First off, after 3 days in the SGFC the cakes started turning blue from drying out but the fruits were growing ok. I got 217 grams wet (GT) from my first flush but I noticed at about mid way in the growth cycle they started forming white fuzz around the bases. I thought this was due to RH so I taped up most of the holes for the second flush. Again the cake dried out fairly quickly even with a fresh coating of moist verm after dunking, but the fruits were looking good. I'm fanning several times per day but am unable to for 10 hours at a time cuz of work so I thought taping up some of the holes would help to make more of a HC and not dry the cakes. Once again though the fuzz has come. In addition, it's like it grows in a huge cluster from the bottom of the cake and I can pull it all off in one chunk. I just want to make sure this is still ok to consume first off, or do I need to cut the fruits away from the mass so there is no fuzz? Secondly, anything I can do to stop it? Does drying out affect the potency at all?
