I didn't know something that makes fruitbodies could be classified as mold. Where did u get that from?
Mushrooms are mold. Fungi are molds.
Not all mushrooms are mold and not all fungi are mold.
Fungi is a kingdom that includes yeast, mold, and mushrooms.
Molds are found in the phylums Zygomycota, Deuteromycota, and Ascomycota.
Mushrooms are in Ascomycota and Basidiomycota.
Psilocybe cubensis is an example of a species of fungi that isn't a mold.
Other mushrooms that arent mold include:
Chanterelles, puffballs, boletes, polypores, etc.
All fungi are either molds or yeasts. Mushrooms are higher fungi are still mold (for instance white rot molds some species like shiitake make mushrooms)

A mold (US) or mould (UK / NZ / AU / ZA / IN / CA / IE) is a fungus that grows in the form of multicellular filaments called hyphae.[1][2] In contrast, fungi that can adopt a single-celled growth habit are called yeasts.
Molds are a large and taxonomically diverse number of fungal species in which the growth of hyphae results in discoloration and a fuzzy appearance, especially on food.[3] The network of these tubular branching hyphae, called a mycelium, is considered a single organism.

Molds are considered to be microbes and do not form a specific taxonomic or phylogenetic grouping, but can be found in the divisions Zygomycota and Ascomycota
Including the subkingdom Dikarya aka "higher fungi"

Not yet. I need to bring the IR thermometer in. A couple spawned last week were so hot I could barely touch it.

Omc and most people refer to mushrooms as mushrooms and mold as the stuff that grows on food. Mushrooms have their own classification but still are technically fungi and mold.

So my food processor wouldn't work for breaking down the morning glory seeds so I chewed them up all 250 of them and spit them back out in the very find paste added chilled water and garlic powder to the mix and I'm fixing to drink it after I strain

GL on your journey! BTW did you know that it's technically impossible to hold a thought and at the same time focus on ones own breath? Try it for your self now if you don't believe me. If you add a mantra to that it becomes like an even harder puzzle to solve for the thought to sneak back in. The more focused you are on your breath or mantra the easier it is to bring back the good vibe from whatever state you are in. Maybe you knew all this already I'm just throwing it out there cause it's a nice little tool to combat "shaky" moments that may arise in a journey.

food proc won't work for seeds of any kind very well. you need a spice grinder, aka coffee grinder. one of those $15 mr. coffee electric grinders works great.

Is it suspicious that even though I have basically just started with Agar and proper sterile work, yet I get virtually no contaminations? The only recent contam I've had was from injecting a dry-ish jar with sterile water. Twice - the second attempt was a contam.
Not to brag or anything but I really have less than 20 plates and 10 A2Gs under my belt. If it continues like this, I'll be beyond happy, haha.

Where can I find these exact cases?
They are mini-greenhouses. Youβll find them at nurseries and garden stores. They are for for growing seedlings in and will often come with plastic seedling trays inside that you wonβt need for shrooms. Perfect size for growing pans but probably too shallow for cubes. These ones fit exactly 4 quarts of substrate and 1 quart of casing. They have little vents on top which are good for regulating FAE.
Actually want one for my loph seedlings. Thanks, I'll take a look. Usually they only have the jiffy brand that's made out of cheap thin plastic.

I had a good laugh when I saw it this morning, question now is, what do I do with it.
By the way this is my very first fully self grown mushroom that wasn't a result of some kit.
Do i put it in a tiny plastic baggie and moisturize it? I want to see how big it can grow and as it is now it will literally hit a "glass ceiling" soon.
Oh man this is the best thing ever.
Also if there are infections in the substrate are mushroom fruit insides infected too? Can mushroom fruits have nasty mycotoxins that could harm me?
Here are the petri dish clones I did with the other 3 petri dishes, did 6 with right one 2 with top one and 3 with bottom one.
INB4 all 3 petri dishes I opened start growing shrooms and I become "that guy who can't get grains going and grows his shrooms out of petri dishes"

^i really want containers like that, but bigger, for grains. Perhaps grain masters. Someone recently told me about the brf puck method, seems interesting in addition to agar, for clean transfers
