Worried About Overlay

I have casings of crumbled BRF jars with a small (1/4 inch about) layer of peat/verm on top. I cold shocked them and put them in big ziplock bags, to keep moisture up. Ive been fanning them about 6 times a day, and they get all the light that comes in my window. Temps are about 68-70 degrees. This is how they looked 6 days ago when i removed them from the fridge after the coldshock:
And this is how they look today:
- Still no pins, and the mycellium is continuing to be beast. Does this look OK? I have the feeling that maybe there is too much mycellium and its impeading the pinning, based on pics ive seen of other casings. I also think I might be tripping out cause this is a first attempt, and its actually doing fine. - Please give me some feedback about how this is looking, thanks a lot in advance.

I was worried about overlay on my first attempt, too. However, I took advice from others and patched my casings up. It looks like your shit is whack...lol!! I dunno though, don't listen to me, I'm no expert, but I would say that you let it go on a little too long or something.

warm them up to a solid 76F and you should see pins soon says kramer

Wouldnt warming them up have the effect of promoting more mycellium growth?

at too low a temp to pin the myc will still grow... kramer has found 76 to be a perfect pin temp for any strain of cub. only the pesa and some mexi strains pin well at lower temps at least
thats what kramer says

cool, ill raise the temp. Does this casing look OK though? I have 4 more jars to case, and if this is no good, i can try different methods.
these ones were colonizing for 3 days in an incubator at around 80 and were patched 2 times.

george is right. you need to increase your temps. cold shock only needs to be for a day. your temps are to cold right now.

also keep in mind that low temps will slow the mush life cycle thus upping the chances for contams to spoil the exposed mycilium. if u havent seen hyphal knots id just put a second casing layer on top, utherwise just follow kramers advice

if u exposed them to light then i would not advise using another casing layer. even if definate hyphal nots are not visible they could be forming because of the light exposure. If u put another layer on after exposed then the unseen hyphal nots could abort and rot under the new layer which upps the chances of contams
keep it at 76
keep humidity high (above 90 preferabley)
and make sure they get proper gas exchange (ive found to work best to promote pinning more abundant and evenly spread)

these have been in light for 6 days, so i guess casing is out. Humidity, im not sure how high exactly, but the sides of the ziplock bags the casings are in have condensation on them, and i spray when it dissipates. Im guessing its pretty high.

Your first picture: you should have begun pinning it. It already looked overlayed
When I first saw your post it looked like cobweb but I think it's the strain (but double check, smell it) Be careful doing cold shock in the fridge, the reefer harbours many nasty bacteria that can cause instant contams. Make sure you clean it out and disinfect.
try deep scratching once with a sterile fork, lightly. then return to terrarium.
Watch your RH

Put another 1/4 inch of verm on there... Mist it really good.
Give it light in a week...watch what happens:) Bring your temps to 70-75
