Any ideas on how to salvage this failed bottle tek?

So I prepared two bottles based on the bottle tek thread. This includes rye berries, wheat bran, verm, & coir. The tek mentions leaving some head-space for an eventual casing layer once you open it up for fruiting, so I left about a 3/4" gap at the top. Little did I know wet rye and substrate expand, A LOT. Within a few days my 3/4" gap was gone and the contents were pushing against the lid. Now 18 days later both bottles are about half colonized (top of bottle only) and they feel like a stuffed sausage casing ready to explode.
Any ideas on what I can do with this mess? Keep waiting? Dump it out and try to separate out the colonized portion?

If they stalled it's probably because the grains are so squished together the mycelium can't penetrate it, I think.
Have you got gas exchange on those? If not, they'll stall.
Someday soon you may have to scoop out the colonized portion and use it as spawn on some coir. That's all I can think of to salvage something. You could make a little cake to fruit from.
What kind of containers are those? They look plastic, did you pressure cook them?
