Mini slurries are legit
I'm partial to the 4oz ball jars cause you can bang it couple times and slide it right into the slurry jar

Thatβs some ms cambodian from last year, pretty sure it took 6 days to colonize a rack of quarts.
A puck nocced up at same times been in the fridge and just got slurried the other day but with a regmouth quart. Wishin I would have seen this thread first because you make a good point about losing slurry in the bigger jars, plus itβs not as easy to handle as the tall 1/2 pints.
I think thereβs potential with slurries for not only speed but longish term innoculant storage thatβs ready to rumble. I could be wrong though, at a lil over 10 months (9 refrigerated) the recent cake was bruised and rather dry. If itβs still down to grub and fruit Iβll post those results.
Props on writing a new slurry tek man, Iβm suprised this innoculant isnt more popular!

I'm new to slurry... my apologies for a newbie question.... but why transfer the puck? (I'm sure there is a reason) My initial thought would be to make the slurry in the initial jar...

Either your transfer the puck to strerile water or dump water into the pucks jar. I like having my water content set ahead of time. The other reason is i blend and pour in a regular mouth 1/2 pint and colonize in a wide mouth 1/2 pint. Wide mouth is easier to get your tools into.
Baggin bosley uses wide mouth slurry jars.

My idea was to try a mini puck in my regular mouth half pint jar that i usually use for LI prep. Just swap the lid out to my blender attachment. Pour in sterile water from my pyrex bottle.
Gotcha, all that makes sense. I wonder if these mini pucks I read about are hard to get growing.... seems like such a good way to go... less transfers. (I'm the jerk rethinking things as a complete novice...)

Hello everyone,
I have been reading up a lot on the slurry/LI teks and it looks to be my next best direction to go with bulk grows.
SLURRY TYPE 2: GS2G Transfer(Grain Slurry to Grain jar transfer): WBS grain jar blended and poured into other grain jars.
has anyone made a successful RYE grain slurry?
Im just curious if anyone has ever tried this before? i would imagine so? im sure theres a reason i just havent read it any where yet!! still grooming the vast depths of shroomery and learning a lot!!! Thank all you fellow cults (Vets and noobs!!!) for your hard work and efforts! CS

Made these pucks 2-19. Im 90%shur there clean. Do you Think I can get away with slurrying a few to grain? Or you think it would contam because it sat for so long. The jars I noc up will hopefully all be masters.
