Turkey Tail - Strong smell?

Hey everyone,

Just picked some Turkey Tail from a log. They have a very strong smell for some reason. They look clean to me.

I've picked Turkey Tail many times before but never encountered this before. Any ideas?

What do you mean by strong smell?
Do you have a picture of them as well? Front and back.
