Well considering Republicans have done literally nothing to prevent Russia from hacking the 2020 election, and have even voted to reduce election security who knows: House GOP refuses to renew election security funding

It's almost like they want, or are even counting on Russia helping to fix the next election as well. Also keep in mind Russia has hacked into our election system already, as well as our energy grid:

But if you look at all the special elections that have happened since trump won, the GOP has been getting slaughtered:

the dems will slaughter midterms like always and then the repubs will come out and vote 2020, so for the dems to win they'd have to have an even higher count than last time

Most modern presidents serve 2 terms and trump supporters aren’t going anywhere and the democrats of which I’m more likely to vote for I haven’t seen a good democratic frontrunner I think can beat trump. We focus so intesnely on how his rhetoric is abhorrent and the many things he has done wrong all ready that the dems haven’t had someone say okay he got elected, he beat Hillary and I’m going to beat him in 2020 and here’s what I’ll be doing to accomplish that and convince everyone that they have a better plan.

Also atm we need a canidate that isn’t considered too radical,unqualified or can be picked apart. In one way or another. People like Ocasio-Cortez,Mike Avenatti and to some extent Bernie Sanders would get slaughtered in a run against Trumps re-election and it’d be a huge disservice to the Democratic Party. Cortez can’t explain how she’s going to pay for massive proposed social plans, Avenatti is litterally most famous for representing Stormy Daniels legally and Bernie scares the shit out of a lot of people on both sides of the isle (especially in the older generation) who really don’t like socialism. I hope there will be a great dem canidate I can feel good voting for (unlike Hillary)

much to my dismay, there's no way in hell he's not getting re-elected. look at all of his supporters in this thread alone, and shroomery generally represents a pretty left of center portion of the population. plus, who the fuck could beat him? has any dem announced interest in candidacy who would do remotely well in a debate or campaign against an incumbent? it's very, very rare for an acting president not to get reelected, so it would take a very solid and charismatic candidate and i don't think anyone in the democrat party fits the bill.

the only way i can realistically see him not being president by the time 2021 rolls around is if he dies. which could easily happen any day.

i also think voter apathy will be at an all time high with this upcoming election. look how many people turned up specifically to vote against trump, and their popular vote won by a pretty wide margin, yet trump became president. if that isn't proof our system is broken i don't know what is.

There is. Either he gets voted down on the second amendment or whatever part of the constitution applies in this unique case, or he decides to tank the economy on the first term rather than the second so that his buddies can buy stock at pennies on the dollar.


I think he will get re-elected and then drop the bass on America in his second term, rather than the first.
