Can’t identify..Tylopilus appalachiensis??

First off I just wanted to say hello as this is my first post! I’ve been referencing the forums for a few years now for cultivation and other identification answers. This site is invaluable!

Anyways I was driving home and noticed these someone huge specimens growing on a steep hill out in the open. It was a busy road so I had to turn around and park. Picking them had to be quick because of traffic so I didn’t get a good look at the trees... be easy on me for that... anyways here are the pictures. My research has led me to Tylopilus appalachiensis but can find very little information. The pore surface is pale yellow in young but mostly white staining brown. Cut larger specimens show the tubes  to be pale pinkish lilac. When chewed and spit out there were no real disnguishing flavor, maybe slightly bitter.

Any thoughts?

Its a bitter bolete  they are all over my woods right now when cooked it is so bitter takes forever to get out . If u couldn't tell i screwed up and misidentified one years  ago and learned my lesson

Just to update I took a bite of a fresh one again this time I could really tell it was bitter as hell! Bitter bolete...
