Sorry, I've been too busy to do a proper search and maybe somebody can help me out. "In general" how many grams of coir per shoebox, and if possible a conversion formula for how much water when using less than a brick of coir? I know about adding verm if the coir ends up too wet. I know there are variables like spawn ratio, but just assuming something average.
Thanks

I believe it's weigh your coir then 5xml of water like 100g coir would be 500ml of water (bod has a formula for it around here.. but i believe thats it..)

I just toss shit in together and eyeball the amounts based on volume. If your spawn is clean and your coir not over hydrated then you should be fine, and should you notice your sub shrink prior to flushing them then bottom water and or mist as appropriate.

I can make anywhere fro 4 to 6 shoeboxes from a brick of coir. It just depends on how many quarts of grain are ready at the time or how many empty SBs I have. I never measure anything.

My shoebox is coming along, not the best pinset in the world but my surface conditions were not perfect. I have some fuzzy feet going on but I think they look ok other than that.

I also tried to get a pic of a mutant I thought was cool, it has two stipes connected at the cap.
