I was not looking forward to the Till vs. Wonderboy fight.  As much as people shit on Tyron for those Wonderboy fights, Wonderboy deserves at least as much credit for the action-deprived nature of those fights.  He basically has one tool in his arsenal, his pinpoint counterstriking.  Without people charging at him, very little happens in a Wonderboy fight.  Tactical? Maybe.  Entertaining? Hardly.

Fantastic match-up.  A fat welterweight vs. a fat middleweight.  I say 'fat' with all due respect; I really have come to the point of view that there needs to be more weight classes.  A 165, 175 (instead of 170), and 195. And maybe a 235, but that's a hard sell considering how shallow the heavyweight division is.

Yet another incident that demonstrates the incompetence of the NY athletic commission:
Fight pulled from tonight's Utica card due to chapped lips

What an inexcusable load of shit.  UFC/Dana White kisses the ass of NY$AC because obvious reasons. Every New York event has bullshit controversy impeding the execution of MMA cards.  From towelgate to Khabib's opponent and now this shit.  Let's see what kind of judging and reffing we get tonight.

Some weird decisions this past Saturday, but overall an entertaining event.

Yoel Romero, while an excellent fighter, is somewhat hard to love.  Whether it's missing weight twice in a row, egregious fouls, blatant cheating (stoolgate), or a USADA violation, you'll never get a genuine apology from the guy. Only a list of excuses and other people to blame. The fucking guy blames the commission for his botched weight cut.

Anyway, anyone else tired of seeing Rashad Evans and Alistair Overeem get beatdown?

I've never actually watched a Bellator event live. However, the roster and matchmaking continues to get more intriguing.  They just signed Machida, and since Barnett got released, they may snatch them up too.  Obviously these are not talented up-and-comers, but they are very experienced fighters that are still fun to watch.  Especially if they don't have pesky USADA on their backs sniffing their pee.

That name though... going to be hard to compete with the promotion whose three letters are used interchangeably with MMA.

The odds favor Stipe winning tomorrow, and I would love to see him get the W.  But do they know something we don't?  DC is an excellent gameplanner, really good at not getting knocked out, and can glide through a five round fight.

That being said, DC looks fat. Like, not MMA fat.  Middle age man-tits fat.  He must be retiring after this fight or staying at heavyweight.

Holloway vs. Ortega was the fight I was looking forward to most.  That punch drunk interview video is actually a little disturbing.  Reminiscent of how Chuck Liddell always speaks now.

As it turns out, the odds-makers were just morons for this card.  I believe underdogs won all five.

Yoel Romero moving up to light heavyweight.  Yoel Romero vs. Daniel Cormier, that's the fight to make.  Make it happen, Dana!

Also, Derrick Lewis vs. Mackenzie Dern, that's the fight to make. Make it happen, Dana!

As far as I'm concerned DC knocking out Miocic is fake news since it is impossible to find a video of it anywhere.

Fuckin greedy ass UFC. Diaz bros are still the GOATs.

I'm still mad at DC's fat ass over towelgate.  What a hypocrite to refer to Jon Jones as a cheater when his fat ass blatantly cheated on camera.

I used to throw these massive parties for every Anderson Silva fight during his hay day, now they're McGregor parties

Why? One of the least compelling fighters of all time.

Least compelling fighters? McGregor is the largest MMA draw ever.

But he gassed in every one of his 3 latest bouts. When's the last time you saw the same fighter gass out in 3 bouts in a row? That's one thing yiu can critique about him as a "complete fighter".

And he WILL gass out against Khabib if he doesn't KO him early. Let's just hope he doesn't gass out before the third round..

That's because he is a compelling shit talker, not a compelling fighter.

If he was a real fighter he would have focused on defending his title(s) in stead of jumping around picking and choosing his opponents. He belongs in the WWE with Ronda. He would fit in great there, talking shit and never having to actually fight anyone.

Diaz whooped his ass twice and everyone knows it, even Connor.
