Habitat:
Found in grass under fallen maple leaves in Chula Vista (Southern California)

Gills:
Brown-colored gills; attached

Stem:
Thin, white, hollow stem, about 2 inches(5cm) long

Cap:
Brownish-tan cap, about 2 inches(5cm) in diameter. Brittle texture. Cap becoming convex as it opens up.

Spore print color:
Brownish, almost black

Bruising:
No bruising.

Other information:
Smells earthy like a typical mushroom in the store.
