How can you tell what the best things in life are? They're the things that never end.
For example, when you use your creativity it doesn't get used up. Instead, it grows even stronger and more creative the more you make use of it. Love is the same way. Give your love, and you'll have even more of it.
Live with integrity, and that integrity will grow stronger. Spread joy to others, and joy becomes even more abundant in your own life. Consider courage, grace, peace, kindness, faith and friendship. The more you draw from them, the more powerful they become.
Though they are often ignored or foolishly rejected, the best things in life cannot be lost. The more you live them, the more they are.

ah...but is it not also true that things like prejudices and hatred continue to grow stronger as well
just about anything in life works like that:
- the more you work out the easier it becomes
- the more you practice with an instrument the better you get
- the more time you spend working with a new language the more fluent you become
- and the more you drink the longer it takes for you to get drunk
it's kinda like that whole complexity thing McKenna was talking about...just on an inner scale

Excellent post, Clever.
I agree with Craven, though, and perhaps he said what you meant to have said, because even negative things will grow stronger, too.
But I agree in general with the principle, and I try to practice that philosophy in my life. It's difficult to put in practice when there are people in the world who will behave badly. I have to continue to be consistent in my approach to life in order to have harmony.
It's sort of being like a child on a reward-based system. If I have integrity in the work place, people will respect me, and because of the reward of being respected, I will continue to practice integrity and it will grow in me even stronger.

It's difficult to put in practice when there are people in the world who will behave badly.
If you are right inside, then you are right outside. Others behaving badly are only a test to let you know where you are.
