Reminds me of myself in high school, although I like to think I was more articulate in my nonsense.

About selling mushrooms (or really drugs in general) though, I don't have a lot of respect for most dealers. I've seen my friends get ripped off too many times. A friend sent me a picture of like 2 grams of dried morels once and said that their dealer wanted 35 dollars for them. Additionally, dealers have an interest in recommending higher doses then one should probably start with. If you have a bad trip, that's your fault, but if you don't get as high as you wanted, that is your dealers fault.

You definitely make a strong case for why HONEST dealers--if they exist--are doing good work. However, I do think able bodied people who live in areas where mushrooms grow should hunt for their mushrooms rather than buy them. In my experience the process of hunting mushrooms is highly conducive towards having a good trip. You develop a very different attitude towards something you just spent 20 hours researching, and staring at the ground looking for as opposed to something that a dealer hands you at a party. Since I generally experience trips as a conversation between myself and the mushroom (and I don't mean in the platonic sense), the preexisting relationship I have with the mushroom matters a lot.

I haven't seen any studies on this, but I suspect staring at the ground (outside of course) for extended periods of time is very good for mental health in general.

Anyway, keep up the good work. It is always wonderful to see scientifically minded people participating in psychedelic culture :cheers:
