I dropped around 20 lbs in a month or two just quitting drinking. It was fucking unreal.
Then prozac happened and I got pudgy.
Now it's firewood season again and there aren't enough calories in the world.

I want to be fit for anything. Which is why I support nox's idea.
Be stronger and faster than the beer. 
Have fun, but don't fool yourself. 
You've got the rest of your life ahead of you, so the pace is your own choice. You're going to die anyways...do you have the motivation to continue in any case? Knowing you are not invincible??

I'm not out of weed but I've been eating cleaner which is awesome. Today will only be my second time this week at the gym but I plan on doubling up tomorrow morning too.

I like the push/pull/legs/shoulders repeating routine with a day off between, works very well for myself and many others.
Curious why you don't have a shoulders/traps day though?

I guess I'm lucky in that hunting and collecting firewood fill my exercise needs. Cutting rounds off of trees, hauling them uphill to the truck, filling the truck, unloading the truck at home, splitting the wood, stacking it. The whole body gets a workout.
Hunting covers cardio in a big way. Try walking eight miles through the desert or five through the mountain rainforests. All that for maybe a grouse, two on a lucky day.
Earned meals and sleep are the best!

I completely agree, but even when I was living as a farmer in Australia, I still weight trained. It makes me feel better than just getting my work from exercise alone. Plus it gave me an excuse to create shit:
