Sunday morining listening to the GD
    #2548399 - 04/11/04 11:09 AM (12 years, 7 months ago)

I listening to 3-29-90 Nassaau Coliseun with Branford Marsalis!  The is one of my favorite (late) show. Branford Marsalis plays saxophone on Bird Song and Promised in Set 1. then he performs through the entire Set 2, except for Drums and Knockin'. Eyes appears on the "Without a Net" CD release.

I really dig the 16 min Eyes Of The World!

Those were special shows. :gd_icon:
Too bad Nassau Colesium had the worst scene in the history of tour.
If I had to guess a venue were the most deadheads were arrested in one day it would be Nassau.

Im an old school rocker so i remember a lot of the early Dead recordings but that was a while back....
PS: Ripple i havent forgotten the Gilmour stuff i promised...My new PC has bit it again and should get it or a new one back this week...Im punching and re-booting 18 times a day on my old IBM compatable Windows 98 slugg....I cant burn anything on this POS :nonono:

What a coincidence I'm listening to GD on this Sunday morning too.  5/9/77 for me.  And I agree, those Marsalis shows are very special.  That's what makes Without a Net such a great album.  Is the Eyes on your show the same as the one on Without a Net I wonder?  The only Marsalis show I have is MSG 9/10/91, which is a great show.  One of the best "It Takes A Lot To Laugh It Takes A Train To Cry" I ever heard.    I should make an effort to get more shows with Marsalis sitting in.

Yas, I love mornings on the weekends. Lots of coffee, alittle dank and loud music. Something about mornings makes the music seem really fresh, crisp and penetrating.

I enjoy JGB as much as The dead, some of my favorite shows are Jerry shows!

My first concert was Jerry at the Colden Aud. of Queens College in 1975!

With Nicky Hopkins, John and Ron Tutt!

That's too bad to hear about Nassau Coliseum, were the busts usually in the lot or indoors?  While most of the shows I've been to at NC haven't had the same outside-scene (except for phish, which was crowded as all hell), once I got indoors everything went smooth and in the way way back I was quite content
