I think I have a problem. Pictures.

Hey all. Former member here. Havent grown in years and figured I'd do a couple tubs recently.
Everything went smooth, started pinning maybe 6 days ago? I have Extremely small fruits....I have never had this happen in the past. It looks as if my pins are not p8ns... just small fruits that look like they want to mature while staying tiny.
What do I do? This looks like it's going to effect my yield greatly. Anythoughts?

Hard to tell from the pictures...but it looks as if some of the caps are starting to tear.

How often are you misting? I have a feeling it could be too wet, especially if the veils start to tear prematurely. Maybe try loosening up some polyfil in any top holes you have - if that’s indeed a standard mono.

I have misted twice. The last one I went heavy because I wanted to leave the lid off for an hour or so to really give some fresh air while I took it out for light. I have followed this protocol throughout the years with no issue. These shrooms are tiny...pics doesnt really do justice.

If that’s the case then continue to be patient. I remember starting up again after a long hiatus and thinking the same thing. Those last few 24-48 hours before picking seems to be where the real acceleration of growth is. At least with my conditions.

I have all the time in the world guys. I'm just concerned that I have veils breaking on mushrooms that are an inch big...my biggest ones. That's not good.
If anyone knows a way to keep em growing lmk lol.

I understand your concern with the veils tearing - I just don’t see it in any of the pics. Even after zooming and giving a concentrated effort. They all look like they’re on their way to full sized boomers.

Be patient, no need to worry unless the caps open up. I find that slower forming shrooms tend to be more dense, so maybe you will get some nice dense fruits.

Thanks for the replies guys.
FEEDYOURMIND : check the third picture I posted. All of the larger mushrooms are doing that with the caps. Seems like they are separating. Maybe I'm calling it wrong? But when I used to grow that's how they would look when they were larger and caps were opening? I'll try and snap a couple more pics.

Since I still can’t see what you’re talking about I’ll give the suggestion of more FAE by loosening up some of that polyfil. Watch those suckers take off. That’s what I would do if I was encountering that issue.

Id say you're too wet and would suspect second flush to put out your best harvest... As feed mentioned, increased FAE may help, but first flush will likely be miniscule compared to subsequent flushes

Caps mcgee, does it look like they are open ing and maturing early to you as well? Am I misdiagnosing this?
I'll give it plenty of fae today and let the surface evaporate a little.
Thanks

Which is also normal (in my experience and most others). The first flush tends to produce heavy pin sets with average shrooms and as the later flushes progress they invert and the shrooms get bigger with fewer pinsets. I will also agree in that you do have a very nice pinset.

No... does look super wet, may have some bacteria present... FAE will help either way... just remember to mist when the surface dries, and allow evaporation to occur between mistings to stimulate pinning... Transportation and evaporation (secondary results of FAE) will help put some weight on your fruit... what variety is this?

Cool, how long do they typically take to mature from pins?

5-10 once I got a pinset. I've had this same pinset for five days now...seems as if they are maturing for sure and more pins keep coming. Not the happiest with this tub but I'm hoping for a larger 2nd flush as you've stated before.

I have a couple older grow logs on this site so I can actually check the exact time period it took me In the past
