(A matter-of-fact telling of the Mogadishu catastrophe; not un-American in any way. The below text is not taken out of context, but abbreviated for reading and typing purposes.)
Ali Hassan Mohamed...was a student... He studied English and business.
Ali saw American soldiers sliding down on ropes (from helicopters)... The Americans were shooting as soon as they hit the ground, shooting at everything....These were Rangers. They were cruel men... Ali's youngest brother, Abulahi Hassan Mohamed (who was unarmed), fell dead by the gate to the family's house bleeding from the head... He (Ali) stopped to see his brother's head broken open like a melon.
Ali was not a fighter. Ali was just a student... But these Rangers had just killed his brother... He ran with rage and terror... He would shoot a Ranger or die trying. Why were they doing this? Who were these men who came to his neighborhood spraying bullets and spreading death?
