As far as actual cultivation goes I don't have a whole lot going on as I'm waiting for my second flush of Chitwan Nepals. I did set up a little indoor growing area and rearranged some of my stuff. I got a humidifier for it, wired some computer fans to a timer, and got a couple of hydrometers.

Nice, I had something similar to that. Shoeboxes would love it in there. Mist the walls of the tent and take off the lids of the tubs when you put them in fruiting conditions.

Thanks for the advice. I'll read through it and I'll keep it in mind. I do want to give shoeboxes a try also.

Here it is without backlight.

FYI, this was just straight RGS, hydrated then PCd in the ziplock PP5 container, then inoculated with agar. I just let it colonize and then loosened/opened the lid for FAE. No casing. Bottom watering between flushes.
I just birthed two colonized RGS pints to quarts to try out the uncased straight grains. Looking forward to seeing how they do.

I'm on that program.

I'm g2g'ing this culture in pints & experimenting with different variables in each generation when fruiting in the quart pp5's. What's your preferred hydration method for the RGS?
This far all Iβve done is boil 30 minutes and strain. I found it cultivated very quickly, but has a tendency to stick together unless I let it dry really well.
Going to try this method next time I do grain jars: Easy RGS prep
