I figured I could just get whatever pressure washer I could find locally, as long as it had an M22 connector for the hose?

Just find a way to hook up the mist line to the pressure washer and you should be fine. I am sure it can be done with all pressure washers.

Good luck

Found this guy for cheap..

Still struggling to find a 15mm m22 that can get shipped to me for a reasonable price. The one I did find for a good price turned out to have G3/8 for the threaded side, instead of U.S 3/8.. As if imperial wasn't confusing me enough, there then had to be 2 different kinds of imperial.. :facepalm3:

Dude dont ever think about deleting this tek, this is gold! The only reason i did not build my system yet is that i live in brazil and i cannot buy any of the stuff from the links you suggested because the shipping costs are insane for me, or the item cant be delivered to where i live.

If that is the pressure washer you are going to use I would buy it 1st because it could have something different than a 15mm m22.

Ultrasonic foggers are much more efficient and industrial standard in greenhouses... just saying.

They may be more efficient, but you have to periodically replace the discs. Cheaper to set up, but more expensive to run (just).

You can believe that if you want and it may be ok for a small room. in 8 months I went through two 9 disc misters from house of hydro at $200 each. I spent $250 to set this up and it has been 6 months. I would rather replace a $70 pressure washer than a $200 mister. Plus I bought the 4-year replacement plan on the washer. Plus there is virtually no maintenance on this build if you have the right filters. I am pretty sure the math works out in my favor. Foggers may be the standard in mini greenhouses but show me, anyone, doing over 150 lbs a week running a fogger and I will show you someone that has more problems than its worth.

I also forgot to mention I get heavier fruits off each block after switching. Oysters like the high-pressure mist much more than the fog.

Many real commercial farms will use a misting fan such as an aquafog set up below the air circulation vents line. I'm not entirely sure what type of atomozation it uses though, I think it's neither ultrasonic nor high pressure. Some kind of centrifugal atomization I think.

I was going to get one of the aquafog machines but they are about $900 and you need to have them higher than my 7ft ceilings. If I remember correctly they have to be 10ft.

This is an amazing how to guide! Thank you so much for sharing. I am seriously considering using this for my small farm. hopefully i will be able to get started  working on the place in about 6 weeks. are you using a water softener as well? or just the inline water filter? water is pretty hard here and i have been wondering if i am going to need a softener system or if i can get away without one.

I really can't tell you if you will need a softener we don't have hard water here so I don't have one. If you do not have a steamer check out my other tek. You will need a steamer also. I try to make my teks as easy as possible to reproduce even for someone that knows nothing. I hope I was successful at doing so.

Shroom, maybe this has been mentioned before or  you have thought of it already, but  what about a  one way check valve behind your inlet ball valve? That way, if for some reason you were to open the valve to far the back flow pressure of the pressure washer would slam the valve shut and only damage to system  up to that point and not potentially further down the line in your home or business place. For some reason this popped into my head at about 2am this morning lol. Stupid brain never shuts up.

If you check the 2nd video I show you how it is hooked up. 1st is cut off valve 2nd in a nipple and third in a check valve. I could have placed the check valve behind the inlet ball valve but I would have had to mess this the house plumbing. Where it is now it still serves the same purpose it was just easier to install. Good job you are definitely right a check valve is something I would not go without. Keep up the good work!! Your brain never shutting up is the engineer trying to come out of you. I am the same way. I think about things until I figure it out. The only problem is a lot of times I have to change things because I think of a better way.

I have updated the original post to this thread for anyone interested. The 3/8 hose started popping so I replaced it in the parts list with what I think to be a better one. The original pressure washer is still holding up!! I have been using it for Almost 9 months now!!

I built this about 4 months ago. I was a little skeptical at first but I went ahead and built the unit. It has been great. I am so glad I decided to build this. My mushrooms absolutely love the environment it creates.

A mono tub should not need anything if set up properly. That is why they are in my opinion the best method for small grows. Once dialed in there is no work. I do not understand why anyone would do an unmodified mono tub. It takes away all the benefits of a mono tub.
