When someone tells me I can't do something that just prompts me to prove them wrong. Anywho, yes please write up a tek.

!! KIT NOW AVAIABLE !!

I have put together a kit for anyone wanting to use this. I have designed it so there is no need to tap into your plumbing. The system is connected via a water hose. You will need to buy your pressure washer and filter and nylon tubing. I did this to save you money! PM me for details. Only 5 kits are available. FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!!

!!UPDATE 8/25/2019!!

Ok so I am impressed! This thing has lasted about a year. Today is 8/25/2019 and is still going strong with no signs of stopping. The best thing is I have not had to do any maintenance at all. And the mushrooms love the environment it creates. For the price, I would definitely do it again. Trust me this is the best thing I have done for the mushrooms. I wish I would have done this before I wasted my money on house of hydro pond foggers.

*****I have revised some of the parts anything that has been revise I will put this at the beginning (*****) to make it easier to find. This is a work in progress guys.*****

Mist Nozzles .10mm/.004", nickle coat, ceramic tip, anti-drip cleanable 10 pack

Pm me for the proper nozles I have better quality and cheaper than you can buy them elsewhere.

I had a hard time finding the parts also. Remember depending on what washer you get. you need to be able to connect 3/8 high pressure mist hose to it. I bought this It might be a good idea to get amazon prime to save money on shipping B4 you buy...

Sun Joe SPX1000 1450 PSI 1.45 GPM 11.5-Amp Electric Pressure Washer $69.99

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BGTLT9K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and this to connect the hose. You can use this on any power washer with a M22 15MM connection...

HOSE ADAPTER FOR M22 15MM TO 3/8" $ 15.00

https://www.obsessedgarage.com/collections/pressure-washing/products/hose-adapter-for-m22-15mm-to-3-8

then you need 1 of these...

(*****) I Changed this to what is below Brass 3/8 x 3/8 MNPT slip Lock Male Connector $9.99

I Changed the Brass 3/8 x 3/8 MNPT slip Lock Male Connector to Anderson Metals 50069 Brass Compression Tube Fitting, 90 Degree Elbow, 3/8" Tube OD x 3/8" NPT Male Pipe because the push locks seemed to leak so I used compression and used an elbow. You may not need an elbow here it depends you may want a straight connection which is below the link...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BOAZ64/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

1 of these 3/8-in Compression x 3/8 MIP Adapter Coupling Fitting...

https://www.lowes.com/pd/B-K-3-8-in-Compression-x-MIP-Adapter-Coupling-Fitting/1000505255

I would not use slip lock I had no luck with them the compression fittings above are much better.

(*****) If you want to monitor the pressure you will need two of these...

American Grease Stick Co. Brass Compression Connector, 3/8" Tube, Male (1/4"-18 NPT) 2 x $3.99

https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/american-grease-stick-co-brass-compression-connector-3-8-tube-male-1-4-18-npt-cf-17c/11408076-P?cm_mmc=ET-_-Trans-_-Confirmation-_-General#utm_source=et&utm_medium=trans&utm_campaign=confirmation&utm_content=general

For the pressure monitor you will need one of these also...

American Grease Stick Co. Brass Union Tee, Female (1/4"-18 NPT) $4.99

https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web/PartSearchCmd?storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&pageId=partTypeList&actionSrc=Form&searchTerm=1%2F4+x+1%2F4+x+1%2F4+npt+tee

If using the above compression fittings you will need high pressure Ferrell's I used these I got a bunch because I didn't know how many times I would have to change this but I am sure you can find these in smaller packs they take a long time for delivery...

LOT 10 Fit 3/8" Tube 304 Stainless Steel Compression Ferrule Insert Ring Fitting

PM me I have the ferrule insert Rings

(*****) and one of these...

American Grease Stick Co. Brass Union Tee, Female (1/4"-18 NPT) $4.99

https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/american-grease-stick-co-brass-union-tee-female-1-4-18-npt-blf-71c/11408155-P?cm_mmc=ET-_-Trans-_-Confirmation-

The gauge I bought is this...

LIQUID FILLED PRESSURE GAUGE, 2.5" DIAL DISPLAY, STAINLESS STEEL CASE, BRASS INTERNALS, 1/4 MALE NPT LOWER MOUNT CONNECTION, DUAL SCALE PSI & BAR (0-2000) $14.45

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1V3XUO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

depending on how many nozzles you plan on having buy these accordingly ...

High pressure Cooling 10* Brass Misting Nozzles + 5* Slip Lok Coupling Tees  $11.90 for 5 pcs

I bought the ones with the compression fittings and put 3/8 inserts from home depot in the hose to be safe inserts are not needed but they made me feel safe.

PM me I have the High-pressure Cooling Brass Misting Nozzles

then you need the correct nozzles for the height of your ceiling. My ceiling is only 7 feet high so I ended up getting the .1mm I would guess anything blow 10 feet this is what you would want and this is a great deal right now only $20 for 10pcs...

Mist Nozzles .10mm/.004", nickle coat, ceramic tip, anti-drip cleanable 10 pack $20.00

PM me I have the Mist Nozzles .10mm/.004", nickle coat, ceramic tip

then you need a ball valve to allow just enough water to flow to the inlet of your filter so the pressure washer does not cut off. I bought this...

3/8" Ball Valve Comet General AR Pressure Washer Ball Valve 7250 psi $23.50

https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-8-Ball-Valve-Comet-General-AR-Pressure-Washer-Ball-Valve-7250-psi/261120959550?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I also bought this just in case the ball valve breaks and lets the full pressure go through. I don't want 1500 psi going through my house water pipes and busting a pipe behind a wall...

VA CV-5000-08-08-5 - 1/2" Female Pipe High Pressure Check valve - 7 PSI Crackin $16.28

https://www.ebay.com/itm/VA-CV-5000-08-08-5-1-2-Female-Pipe-High-Pressure-Check-valve-7-PSI-Crackin/172512802356?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

and the last thing I think you will need besides all the pieces and adapters to connect your piping together is nylon hose...

High Pressure Tubing -Nylon - 1500 PSI Rated $1.49 per foot (MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE 3/8 TUBE)

https://www.mistcooling.com/high-pressure-tubing-nylon.html

The system above should be able to run 75 .1mm nozzles. I am running 5. if you do not use the .1mm nozzles use this chart to figure out how many you can run...

https://docs.zoho.com/sheet/published.do?rid=9jhz5292c7a782ae24b2999c040f2895fc8df

My house has 1/2 galvanized pipe that is why I used these sizes adjust yours accordingly

Don't forget a water filter either or your nozzles will be stopped up quickly

anyway IM me if you need more help.

If someone reads this in the future and the links don't work you can find the parts using the name above the links that are in red. Google is your
friend!!

The picture shows how everything should be ran. Once everything is together turn on the water in from house. Then turn off the cut off valve connected to the 3/8 nylon hose and misters. DO NOT START THE PRESSURE WASHER WITH THIS VALVE OPEN you could and probably will blow something. Then start the pressure washer. The pressure washer should turn on then turn off. Check for leaks. If you find leaks these should be fixed before continuing. Now slowly turn the cut off valve on that is connected to the 3/8 nylon hose and misters not the main water in from the house this valve should already be on. Turn the cut off valve Just until the pressure washer start to run and not cut off by its self. You should hear a load on the pressure washer. You want this valve to be closed as much as possible with out cutting off the pressure washer.

Water pressure cut off switch added...

Link to what I bought for the pressure switch...

https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25473018

I hooked up the pressure gauge the other day and forgot to update. The system is running at 1275 psi. So a lower psi pump should work also. I was questioning how much pressure I was getting having it hooked up like this. Assuming that the pressure washer  puts out 1450 psi as is stated on the washer then I am loosing 175 psi. 1275 psi is well above what is needed for the misters to perform.

Low side psi before the filter pic pressure washer not running (above)

Low side psi before the filter pic pressure washer running (above)

High side psi pic (above)

I know the low side pics look backward. In other words it seems like the pressure would be higher when the washer is running but this is not the case the pictures are correct.

Hello my friend, the problem that you have had with the himidifier, I'm almost sure is because your water has a lot of lime and breaks the membranes, for 10 € you buy new membranes, the solution is to put an osmosis filter imbers in the entrance, if your problem is lime, you will have problem with any system to humidify. regards

It was running on reverse osmosis water from day 1. I also had a 2 year old HOH 1 disk in the same water that is still running. The 9 disk are junk. The 1 disk is a good product almost 2 years of using that 1 disk compared to 5 months tops on each of the HOH 9 disk. My advice would be stay away from the 9 disk. I spent over $360 for less than a year of them working. I spent around $265 for everything on this system. I think I will put together a kit for all the mushroom farmers out there for like $300. If I knew there would be interest I would do it. So far this thing is way out performing the house of hydro junk 9 disk. I am not sure how much the humidification system has to do with it but I am getting bigger mushrooms and heavier flushes. But only 1 flush so far.

I feel this in Spanish, change with that key, it's very simple, you can find very cheap membranes in China, but I do not know the quality

Oh, and amazing write-up!

I have updated the original post to this thread for anyone interested. The 3/8 hose started popping so I replaced it in the parts list with what I think to be a better one. The original pressure washer is still holding up!! I have been using it for Almost 9 months now!!

I built this about 4 months ago. I was a little skeptical at first but I went ahead and built the unit. It has been great. I am so glad I decided to build this. My mushrooms absolutely love the environment it creates.

Thanks for sharing this. It is very interesting and useful.

I was wondering if it is necessary to have a loop system? in other words what if you just capped the end instead of letting the excess water flow back through the filter? would this create too much back pressure and burn out the pump?

also wondering how you calculated how many nozzles could be used.

thanks again.

Re: High pressure fog for mushrooms from pressure washer $200 [Re: deadmandave]

The loop is necessary because the pressure washer shuts off unless there is water flowing through it. When using an electric pressure washer as soon as you let off the trigger the motor shuts off until you press the trigger again. So what I did is fool the pressure wash into thinking the trigger is being pressed all the time by flowing the water in a loop. Without the loop, the pressure washer will constantly cycle on and off. Which will burn up the pressure washer very quickly. The reason it cycles is that not enough pressure is being released so it shuts down. Until the nozzles release enough pressure to make it think the trigger has been pressed then it turns back on. I hope this makes sense.

I used this to figure out the number of misters it should be able to handle...

https://docs.zoho.com/sheet/published.do?rid=9jhz5292c7a782ae24b2999c040f2895fc8df

I never tested it of course. So it may not be able to handle that many and at some point of adding misters, you would not need the loop. Because with the right amount of nozzles there would be enough pressure released so that it would think the trigger is being pressed.
