I've never been unsatisfied. For future reference, a cinematographer is not an assistant director, and a director is not the boss of the executive producer, which is what Alec Baldwin was on that film.

Sometimes people like him are given the title of producer just as an honorary thing and they don't really do any producing . He's also an actor in the movie and I always kinda assumed actors kinda take direction from the director, who he also shot in the shoulder by the way . In retrospect my comment doesn't really seem that uniformed like you say . You would agree with me that an actor shooting his director in the shoulder would be " shooting his boss " right?

Maybe a basic actor, sure, but not a star. Bottom line: who can fire whom?

If that's the case then my statement is 100% accurate. I didn't say wether he shot the boss he was working for or if he shot the boss he hired to boss other people around for him . It "his " boss either way you look at it . Bro .

That's not how bosses work. His boss would be the one who can fire him. There could be 100 levels of bosses, but someone below you isn't your boss.

The director is the highest authority on a film set, unless there is an executive producer who is involved in the day to day production. Everyone answers to the people paying.
The director is hired by the executive producers and/or the studio/financiers

That's only true when it's a big name director. The truth is that in many cases, a director answers to several different people on the set. It's a complicated industry, but directors get fired a lot in movies.
The producer is the one who makes the film. That's why the producer is the one who gets the oscar for best motion picture. Executive Producers may be money people, but just as often are just given that title so that they have a voice in the production. From a day-to-day point of view, however, the producer is the boss of a movie set.
The reality is that if it is a small movie with one big actor, that actor is the boss. The viability of the movie rests solely on that actor's participation, so he/she calls the shots. In a large budget movie, the money calls the shots. Between those two scenarios, there are infinite variations and permutations which may or may not have a director as the real boss. More often than not, however, the director is not.
This is why they so readily trade out directors from episode to episode on limited series nowadays.
The movie being discussed in this thread, however, was an Alec Baldwin production. It's his movie. He is the boss.

Extrajudicial killing, charged as domestic terrorists, and now we can add targeted for bailfund support to the list.
It's always been my belief that you can gauge the effectiveness of dissent (as perceived by the state) by how disproportionate the state response is.
Quote:
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced its agents and Atlanta police had arrested three leaders of the Atlanta Solidarity Fund, which has bailed out protesters and helped them find lawyers.
Charged with money laundering and charity fraud are Marlon Scott Kautz, 39, of Atlanta; Savannah D. Patterson, 30, of Savannah; and Adele MacLean, 42, of Atlanta.
[...]
In a statement issued after the arrests, Gov. Brian Kemp said the state would “track down every member of a criminal organization, from violent foot soldiers to their uncaring leaders.”
“These criminals facilitated and encouraged domestic terrorism with no regard for others, watching as communities faced the destructive consequences of their actions.” the Republican said. “Here in Georgia, we do not allow that to happen.”
Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr, also a Republican, pledged to “not rest until we have held accountable every person who has funded, organized, or participated in this violence and intimidation.”

Don’t know if anyone posted it, but a few weeks ago here in Australia a 95yr old women with dementia in a nursing home was tasters twice for carrying a steak knife she found in a kitchen drawer. While hobbling toward an officer on a walking frame.
After being tasted she fell to the ground, cracking her skull. She died in hospital a few days ago.
The state police commissioner refuses to watch the body camera footage, let alone release it. Other officers have said the footage is “confronting”.
The officer has since been charged with assault and three other offences.
How the hell can’t a 33 year old male officer simply disarm a 95 yr old on a walking frame is beyond me.

In America the cop would get paid to not work for a month then he’d be back out in the community menacing citizens

So..
A Klansman, a murderer, and a domestic abuser walks into a bar.
The bartender asks, "What'll it be, officer?"

Will you help me fix my door?
Did you hear the joke about when the cops broke into Afroman’s house. To look for kidnapping victims?
It turns out he never did drug trafficking or kidnapping. Duh…. The punchline is that they didn’t pay for any of the damages. So he made this song and made the money back.
