I didn't read that it wasn't accurate but that it can't be relied on, which is reasonable doubt.
I understand though, that you are certain of what happened despite not being there to witness the murder.

Hopefully there is some accountability. It would be pretty cool if the retired prosecutor got sent up for a 20 year bid but that won't happen.

The reason this happened is the guy who prosecuted syed lost in the primary to be states attorney and the guy who won has been saying it’s a wrongful conviction for years.

Everything I read about it is they just fubared the case into oblivion and somehow got a conviction.
As my lawyer said, it isn't my job to prove the truth, it is my job to get you off, I get murderers off all the time and I sleep like a baby because I did my job.
Whatever happened to innocent til proven guilty? You know, I understand that jails treat innocent people like they are guilty pieces of garbage before they are sentenced, and I understand (But don't condone whatsoever) why police treat everyone as if they are guilty of a crime... But I DON'T understand why a person posting on a drug forum is so eager to assume guilt, because they can't manage to wrap their head around the fact that police are by-and-large... all cunts.. and some of them break the law, while doing their "job".
In my life, I have rarely come across a police officer who wasn't a fucking prick, and I've had a LOT of run-ins with police.

Can you even imagine being that guy, sitting in prison, and suddenly your case becomes the hot topic of the day, because of an election? I can't even imagine what that would feel like. Some people are never vindicated. He's very lucky.

It's innocent until proven not-wealthy.
I know, I know, "guilty" is a common misspelling.

Accountability means a monetary settlement, that the citizens of whatever area the state is doing this oppression will have to pay.

IIRC prosecutors enjoy the luxury of being shielded from any form of prosecution for "mistakes" on the job, thereby making it completely "acceptable" for them to do whatever they want on the job with impunity

Yeeeeah! I like it lmao!
Fuck ALL judges. I just saw another one where a judge was giving a potential juror a hard time because she was a nurse, and said she couldn't be impartial in a child abuse crime, because she had been involved with so many abused children. He accused her of just wanting to get out of jury duty, and continually insist she could be impartial and that she stay. It said he ended up getting some kind of reprimand for it... whatever that's worth.

When I represented myself with my hippy lawyer helping me we gave it to the cops over 9 separate appearances. At first the Magistrate didn't take me seriously, but after he saw that we were actually pursuing legitimate legal avenues (for instance putting forward a submission to the court for access to the 2kg of weed G.L.M. so we could have an independent analysis performed on it because the cops aren't fucking botanists) he was on board and seemed to enjoy hearing and even looking forward to what we were putting up and blasted the fuckers at one appearance for not doing as he instructed.
Bottom line he was 99.9% sure I was guilty but because the cops were lazy and failed to prove certain elements of the offence/s, he let me off. Not many people get to walk out of court grinning, but I did and it was fucking great. He was a good guy.

Cops arrest woman and are putting her in the back of a cop car parked on train tracks. They realize a train is coming and they run away, abandoning the woman. Woman is critically injured.
