If you we're searching for active or gourmet edible mushrooms in the Pacific Northwest Washington Oregon range, what would be most prevalent right now in your opinion.
I have a hunting tic but not sure what to look for this time of year.

Actives I've found :
✓Gymnopilus aeruginosus
Gymnopilus braendlei
Gymnopilus junonius
Gymnopilus luteofolius
Gymnopilus viridans
Panaeolus bisporus (link)
✓Panaeolus cinctulus
Panaeolus fimicola
Panaeolus olivaceus
Pluteus americanus
Pholiotina cyanopus (link)
Pholiotina smithii (link)
Psilocybe allenii
✓Psilocybe azurescens
Psilocybe baeocystis
✓Psilocybe cyanescens
Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa
Psilocybe fimetaria
Psilocybe liniformans var. americana
Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata
Psilocybe pelliculosa
✓Psilocybe semilanceata
Psilocybe silvatica
Psilocybe stuntzii
.
What would be the nest most common?

I've been trying to organize the same thing. This is what I found specific to the warmer months in this area.

Psilocybe liniformans.
From summer to early winter, Psilocybe liniformans grow scattered across rich pastures or grasslands in Washington, Oregon, and Michigan in the United States. They’ve also been reported to grow in Chile where they fruit in the spring.

This magic mushroom species grows on conifer wood chips and bark mulch across the Pacific Northwest from late July through December. In Santa Cruz, California and Seattle, Washington, they have been reported to grow all year long. There was a time when this fungus grew in 40% of all new lawns in the Puget Sound region of the Pacific Northwest

Psilocybe baeocystis.
Ground bark, wood chips, peat moss, decaying conifer mulch, lawns, pastures, and coniferous forests provide the perfect environment for Psilocybe baeocystis to grow. This variety of magic mushrooms grow from late July through December throughout the Pacific Northwest, Maine, and Connecticut in the United States.

I just got hit by tropical storm Gordon, it rained so much in the 12hr period from 7pm to 7am that it filled up a 5 gallon bucket to about 5mm from over flowing. This bucket was intentionally set out in a wide open space with nothing around for a 15 meter diameter. I didn't want runoff from the roof or trees to interfere with how much rain I could catch.

I know tomorrow will be an interesting walk in the woods.

Wow that's crazy doc me and Apocalyptica have been wishing for that sort of rain for weeks now I know I've been scoping all my spots in anticipation with no result yet but yeah the next 6 out of 10 days we should have some rain. That should help withthe moisture.
