Thanks! Yes definitely. I did everything all wrong so I was surprised anything grew at all. Thanks! I'm trying to do better with the other tub since they're not ready yet by increasing FAE. My fruiting chamber is really bad. Embarrassingly compared to the teks but it seems to be fruiting anyway after several modifications. Here are pics of the other pins. Many tiny aborts too and knots that went no where.

Many of us fruit in unmodified tubs ... maintaining surface conditions and FAE grows mushrooms, not the fruiting chamber... you're doing something right: loads come on a leave having never seen fruit! Now you just hone your ability to recognize what needs done, and knowing healthy spawn from unhealthy... not every knot will fruit... research and ask questions!

So as mentioned earlier, my first grow is a success.
After several hours of reading forums and books, I've decided to finally take the plunge.
27Qt Mini monotub, Golden Teacher MS syringe, 95% coir, 5% coffee grounds.
Posted a pic of my first grow a few posts earlier, thought it was a good time to do some harvesting today. Comments, feedback and criticism welcomed.

Going for the whole she-bang and did some spore printing too

AFTER HARVEST, some of these guys weren't 100% ready to harvest, veils still attached, so partial harvest....

Those mushies on the white lid separate from the pile were used to clone !

Did some agar work for the first time yesterday as well, got 7 different strains going, 1 of which is cloned. Didn't read thoroughly enough on agar, I just splattered MS solution all over the agar, its all over, not centered so...Oh well..will try to subculture from some of these bad boys. Hopefully it won't be too hectic. Will update accordingly??

i'm gonna give this tub some water and see if she'll go again!! metabolytes be damned, full speed ahead!
this is the tub that developed the huge cracks through the sub. i held on to it, because it had a few pins maturing, and when those finished, the cracks had almost completely repaired themselves. so i bottom watered, sprinkled a little fresh cvg in the wider cracks to seal them up some, and she's bounced right back. so now i know...cracks aren't a big deal. water, fill the gaps, and wait it out

What's all the yellow growing around on your bulk substrate cake?

Hey Renagader how many quarts of spawn did you use for that 27 qt tub or what was the ratio of everything. Sorry if I missed it earlier? Cheers!- THeLostBoys

3Qt spawn, only filled 3/4 the way, so 3 myco quarts?
586g wet, will update when I harvest the rest. Hoping for at least 1oz per quart on first flush? Is that unreasonable? Substrate depth is about 2 - 2.5 inch deep.

it's metabolite leeching because of the massive cracks that occurred in the substrate.

Some more of the Chitwan Nepal. A few look like they are ready to be harvested. Should I do that today? The veil has broke on some, but in pictures it shows the caps more flat. I was planning on maybe tomorrow. I was trying to let them fill in more. The bigger ones are around 4 and 1/2 half inch, but most are close to 4 inches.
