Hello fellow mushroom enthusiasts! You may call me "Fluffy" or "MyceliumG", I enjoy attempting to discover new medical uses for a selection of different species of mushrooms that I grow at my home lab in the beautiful state of Pennsylvania. I am rather new to growing mushrooms and have only grown a few different species.
Of course I know that in some states such as Georgia or Idaho simply having the spores is illegal as a result of the states' policies that prohibits items that are/can be used to manufacture drugs, while in other states it's legal to possess psilocybin spores due to the spores themselves not actually containing any trace of the psilocybin nor psilocin. However I am unaware on the legal status of having spores in Pennsylvania.
Note: I am fully aware once I begin to cultivate the mushrooms that I will potentially be at risk for legal reprocussions. I only need to know more information regaurding the legality of possessing spores.
I'm seeking a definitive answer to whether it is illegal to posses spores of psilocybin species in Pennsylvania specifically. However, if you have information regarding the legality of possessing psilocybin spores in any other state as well, please feel free to leave a reply to potentially aid other amateur mycologists who may also have questions about the legality of possessing psilocybin spores in their own state.
Note: I do all of my research in my home and occasionally have help from a neighbor who shares common interests and has a little more experience than I do, Neither of us have any certifications for the production of psilocybin mushrooms for any reason. We are just average men who have a strong interest in combining medicine and the greatness of mycology.

Psilocybin mushroom spores are illegal in all 50 states if you intend to grow them.
I am not aware of any state that has enforced any anti-spore laws.
Pennsylvania doesn't specifically outlaw them.
