Ignorance is bliss vs Enlightenment

Does anyone sometimes feel that knowing too much brings its own set of problems? That being 'awakened' as a result of doing shrooms or other psychedelics/entheogens creates a certain type of suffering? That ignorance might be bliss after all? Or are you loving your life just the way it is regardless of what you have learnt, felt and experienced while exploring other states of being and other realms of existence?

Just find comfort in knowing that in 100 years you'll be dead and none of your worries will matter

You should try to love life as much as you can, because at some point you won't be able to totally block out the suffering of the world around you.

Yes. Very much so. I started a thread about it in PS&P the other day:
Does relentless truth seeking lead to pessimism?
-------------------- Let it be seen that you are nothing. And in knowing that you are nothing... there is nothing to lose, there is nothing to gain. What can happen to you? Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not. --Jac O'keeffe

I definitely believe being Awakenened is better than being ignorant with whats going on.
Knowledge is empowering. Ignorance can be a dark place.

Where does a mind wish to go? You can pack your bags and travel all you like, but eventually one will come to the conclusion that you must rest. Make camp. All roads lead back home. Curiosities and adventure are for the young - mind, body, spirit all have an age. Seems to me, you've travelled. And enjoyed the journey. But eventually anyone who travels too much, well they just seem like they're running away from something.
Along the path of enlightenment one must choose to relinquish the divide we have between knowing and unknowing. It is the same. This is the road back home.

At best, ignorance provides fleeting sensations of bliss.

Ignorance is bliss. That's why the smartest people do drugs.
