Assistance w/ Spore Print to Agar Growth?

Hi all, first time attempting agar and have a couple plates inoculated by spore print/inoc loop on 8/25.
This is growth today 9/2, 8 days in:

Should I attempt to make a transfer from either plate yet? Do these appear to be healthy?
Thanks for any help!

They both look workable so yes do a few transfers for sure! Take transfers from the outer sections of the mycelium.

That's great news!
The outer edge seems much lighter than the middle - is that okay to transfer from a light section?

Yessah, but just aim for whatever spot looks like the healthiest and strongest. This early on in the agar process, though, it doesn't matter too much where you take from as long as there aren't baddies hidden in there.

The plates look fairly clean, id wait a bit for more growth, then select from there.

I think the center looks the strongest but I understand I should cut from the leading edge. I just wasn't sure if the leading edge was okay since it is so faint compared to the center.

I shouldn't be concerned with the growth hitting the side of the plate?

in the next few days you'll see a spot that's looking worthy before it hits the side

And you're for waiting? 2-1 maybe I should wait!

By the 2nd or 3rd day there should be invisible filamentous mycelium already touching the edges, you just can't see it. We don't transfer from the edge because it's easier to miss baddies and miss your mark on good genetics. It makes it a harder fight.
Transfer immediately at signs of healthy growth.

I can't see well on my phone (or through marker) but it looks like the area under the "3" in your second pic should be fine.
Perhaps someone with better eyes / screen resolution could chime in.

Thanks for taking a look and clarifying, Adden. The area under the 3 is where I was worried about it touching the side.
I think it's my pictures rather than your screen resolution. It's tough to get a good picture with a shitty old phone.
