Central Florida Mushroom ID Help
    #25428318 - 09/01/18 01:46 PM (2 years, 8 months ago)

I'm new to all of this. I actually don't even like mushrooms. At all. Anyone asks me "what is the one food you'll never eat" and I say mushrooms.

However I'm aware of the intense mental health benefits that can be gained from consuming shrooms and I feel so bad that I grew up seeing what I think is cubensis in my old house without realizing it's the good stuff.

But I finally got the chance to pick some mushrooms. For context I live in Central Florida, where it's been raining intensely for weeks, but not in the last few days. So I went out and picked several varieties. I have a pond, several oak trees, and very thick grass. Many of these were found close to the trees.

All were put into one plastic bag. Put into my room and the spores are slightly affecting my allergies, but I think all mushrooms will do that.

Please let me know if any of these are toxic, edible but not trippy, or the good stuff. Or if any are so toxic I need to throw the entire harvest away in case of cross contamination.

As far as I can tell none of them bruise blue but idk how long I should wait to see the bruise form. If I've missed a type that I've mixed in with other varieties, if anything needs closer examination, let me know.

The first few I think are leucocoprinus sp. The others arent the best examples.
I do know for a fact you have nothing active at all and possibly a few that are toxic. You're in central Florida, I'd be hopping over some barbwire and searching some cow shit.

In Florida,  your best bet for finding active mushrooms is definitely in cow/horse. pasture
