That's insane and so awesome. Congradulations! Flow hood is my next big buy. So tired of trying to look through an opaque SAB.

So,I've been fighting with pests all year to just get a nice outdoor flush, but the slugs and squirrels are relentless.:shrug2:

Built this Outdoor FC()with the hopes of having a pest free outdoor enviroment to "play" around with.
Made it somewhat portable/moveable so I can re-use it and clean as needed.
Gives a good 3.5" sub depth with room for casing if I want. And I made it to be able to fit about 5 shoebox subs if I choose.
I also made some dividers,so the whole box is not needed for a single project.
Just wanted to share, and I'll update when put to use.:super:

This is a seriously cool idea for outdoor grows! How fine is the mesh you're using?
Will you set it at ground level or raise it up? Not sure if that'll make a difference or not

I'm not sure what mesh it is.It came from salvaged window screen.:shrug2:
I do plan to use it at ground level. Not sure if raising it off the ground will cause sub drying issues, with the airflow underneath.
Thanks!

Thanks Myco.

I was lucky to get a 500ml pyrex flask in trade already. I'm gonna use cling wrap for a bit. Been working for the pasty plates fine. I think I've seen others use with petris. I'll switch it up if I hit a problem I guess. Or is cling just doomed to fail?

I’ve used it exclusively with no problem, a single roll cut into smaller 1/2” - 1” rolls will last you about 1000 plates

The extensions to my lab, for micropropagation. New H13 HEPA clean air unit from China and some odds and ends for plant and fungal tissue culture.
