As we get closer to election there will be a so-called "Terrorist Attack In the USA" of pretty big proportions. (And it wont be the Muslims doing it thou they will be blamed) How do I know this info, not because I have paranormal powers, nor because I have secret connections Pure logic, standing from the fact that is the oldest trick in the book, that?s how they did it in ww1, ww2, Vietnam, 9/11, by allowing something catastrophic happen to citizens to galvanize there emotions to there side and agendas. (by the way is the only way now for them to win the elections) Remember you heard it here first! I really hope I am wrong Peace

To speculate a bit more this will happen probably towards the end of the summer, (Home land security is already quietly advertising it), IT wont happened like in Madrid a few days before election, minimum a month before, they will allowed plenty of time to debate and state there case, that they are strong and all about defense, (mean wile there current strategy against opposing party is to say they are weak on defense) If this happens and they get away and are reelected, you can kiss good bay your few remaining civil liberties. And soon ww3.

Bush would be stupid to let another one happen, IMO. 9-11 did a lot of good for him, but if he lets another one happen then people may think that he isn't capable of defending our country.

> Bush would be stupid to let another one happen
Nah... He is stupid regardless. It would be in his best interests for something to happen... reelection wise. He can say that he was warning us all summer, which they have started to do. He can blame all the anti-patriots for not giving him enough freedom to pursue the terrorists. A high state of terror will also effect the number of people that vote in a negative way, which will help the incumbent.

If one doesn't happen before Bush leaves.. Kerry will get one shortly after hes in office... "Gee guys, I was gonna do all this good stuff, but now I have to continue the war on terror."
Either way, one is needed by 2005 as a pretext for the draft.

Well, let's think about that.
1. The conservatives are more likely to own guns. 2. The military (supposedly) leans to the right.
Excellent. Let's do it.

There's really no point. Look at the map of the red areas and blue areas from the last presidential election. Now think about global warming and the rise of sea levels. Guess who's more likely to be underwater and guess who's more likely to be in dry areas?

First one off the map will be Florida (yay) and the midwest will become a fucking desert with serious droughts fucking up their agriculture economy, so I don't really know what youre talking about.

Okay, 1) If ice caps melt, low lying costal areas will be flooded (according to those who warn us of the dangers of global warming) 2) Liberals are concentrated in the large cities - many of the largest (LA, NY, San Francisco, etc) are near the coasts, conservatives tend to be in more rural areas. 3) I wasn't serious, it was just something to tweak the noses of the more leftist members of the audience (apparently it worked).

1) Obviously I understood the assertion about coasts as you'll see by the comment about florida (that's due to ocean water expanding more than ice caps melting)
2)Read my post about the midwest again
3) I understood you were kidding about mass death of liberals, i was just pointing out the possible consequences in the midwest that are often ignored because its less spectacular than coasts falling into the sea.
What I find funniest in these forums is how some people think they have this sense of sarcastic humor that is so sophisticated and subtle that other people just don't get it. Let me be the first to tell those people...(you know who you are)

I thought EVERYONE would get it, but then you had this to say,
Quote:
... I don't really know what youre talking about.
Which prompted me to respond with a clarification.

I meant "i didnt know what you were talking about" because global warming would probably cause MORE devastation for the rural midwest. if i thought you were serious i might have said some hippie thing like "thats a horrible thing to say! liberals are still people too!" or something like that.
