Hey There, Can anyone identify this cacti? I have a lot of it as it keeps dropping arms in my yard. It has 6 ribs on the mother stalk but some of the arms only have 5. They flower with big white flowers that only open at night and then if they don’t fry in the heat they turn into a very delicious red dragonfruit white a whiteish center pocked with small black seeds.
It doesn’t look like a classic San Pedro, but I keep seeing pictures that look exactly like it identified as a San Pedro. These are from a very hot desert and planted as ornamentals and watered because summer temperatures regularly reach 120 F, I was wondering if that’s way the ribs are so long, to cool the plant.
Is this some kind of low altitude / hot climate San Pedro mutant or something else? Also does it have Mescaline in it whatever it is.
