Pretty cool. Only thing I think may be an issue is newcomers during their first grow will not have crazy rhizo myc and think that they have done something wrong since they have the typical fluffy myc. Other than that I think it's a great deal.

Your typical first time grower will most likely not see rhizo like these pictures show. You know what I mean?

You'll have to explain to them that after agar work and isolation techniques, they CAN have myc growth like the pictured myc. BUT typical fluffy mycelium isn't a bad thing, especially for your first grow.

I beg to differ (:

Just wanna say great thread. :awesomenod:
Keep looking at it from time to time to burn the pictures in my memory.

I would like to request microscopic pictures for identifying contaminates under the microscope for what the eye cant catch if there isn't one somewhere. I could start one to requesting pics from the community as well.
Thoughts?

Here is what a pan cyan casing should look like day 3 to 6 post casing:

Notice how the mycelium covers the casing with wispy threads, not heavy mats nor bare casing not colonized at all.  From this pins can form and develop soon afterward.

Heres some mysterious contaminate.
Looked all over google and here and found nothing that looks relatively close to this other than mycogone, trich and white mold. I have ruled out trich because it never turned green after 3 weeks and only produced white spores and slightly mutated mushies. Mabye bacteria stalled the trich or mutated it albino?
Kinda looks like the bug spit you see on leaves before sporelation then like crushed up chalk. Figured I would throw this up here since I have not seen anything exactly like it posted on the net.

Why did I spawn it? Well I Noticed what looked a little like penacilion in the grain jar but spawned it anyways because I don't really have much of anything growing. Also the only way to really learn and recognize stuff in the future is to experience it. Beside, I have an awesome garage to quarantine stuff like this.

So this stuff rides myc like a pro surfer, looks like text book bacteria in the ice cream fashion.

The 1st flush, 38 wet grams and 30% mutations. On the lower part you can see some of the mushies being attacked by another emerald blue mold near the base but looks grey in the picture.

The white puffballs, they don't look like trich normaly does on the macroscale. Also under the mycroscope It looks more like a white corel. Kinda like fluffy clouds but not cottony or a fine bright mycellium like the trich I veiwed a month ago. (I will try get the microscopic pics up here in a bit if I can find my USB stick to transfer the pic) Anyways, as soon as I saw the spores forming under the microscope after a week I put it in the garage to finish up. Thought it was a mutated trich or just white mold if anything and didn't want what ever it is sporelating in my house.

Some of the chalky like spores on the end of my sciccors, looks better on the finger but not gonna hand out free finger prints on the web in this day and age.  Also this is the best shot I could get with this phone. Better pic of it on the sub in the next pic.

In the upper middle you can see some good chalky white spore action on the sub from a dryed ball.

Kinda wondering if possibly the bacteria mutated the trich into an albino? Simply a white mold? Just a result of bacteria that barley gets talked about? All in all I cant find anything spot on to this so here it is and how it should not look. :cookiemonster:

Makes a fine one flush garden fertilizer though. :lmafo:

Edit Here is the microscopic pics.

What the Trich myce looked like from my confirmed box a month ago.

Only similarity is the way the myc refracts the light but the organization is obviously different.

My Albinos seem to be taking longer than any of my other strains. Now there is this white crystal like substance growing. Is this what it is suppose to happen? This is my first time starting from scratch & I want to make sure I didn't mess up. My others are doing pretty good except they are not growing any larger than a couple inches. Could that be from the lighting?
