I usually use about 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries, frozen peaches, and orange juice. This mixture is missing some zest though.
Anyone have some good smoothie recipes?

use yogurt.. Non fat plain yogurt will give it some zest and more body.

why frozen fruit? fresh fruit is 10x better.
try using fresh fruit, some yogurt, and some ice, and a little sugar.

why add refined sugar to a smoothie? Besides the obvious.. I think it defeats the point... Yogurt is great to add to the fruit, as others said... try Dannon smoothies.

I go for yogurt,orange juice, honey, green algae, strawberrys, bannas, blueberrys, and mango juice if I have it.
I never heard of a smotthy with out yougurt. Thats the smooth in smoothy.

Im gona go make me one now..
Fat Free plain yogurt, frozen mixed berries, 1 bananna and apple juice. Thats all I use.
Usualy make one for my drive to work in the morning but I didnt work today so I guess Ill have one for lunch...

when i was back at home i would make smoothies all the time. Its expensive, but it wasnt my money, weee.
I would usually just put whatever frozen fruit i had in there, and then find other stuff and chop it up and mash it it. Yogurt, oj, milk, rice dream, prolly even chai tea, all that works as a good liquid. Bananas always dominate the flavor of a smoothie, so i use like half of one if i wanna taste the other stuff. Honey is awsome.
I would some times just toss in random stuff, like i put daves insanity in one a while ago, it wasnt too bad. Just tasted really fuckin weird. any ways, have fun

can someone answer why frozen berries and not fresh?
is it just because they are already ice cold?
