That's such an artificial purple. Were these in dyed mulch? The base of that mushroom is purple. Can you get closer shots of the gills please?

That purple is not artificial. I just found these in a 1200 acre hardwood forest along Mississippi River in Southwest Wisconsin. I am adding couple more pictures taken with better camera.
The purple must be spores cause they are on top of the cap and stem.

Don’t think it’s caerulipes, maybe Stropharia.

I was thinking stropharia. Really weird the way it's sporing, though.

I feel inclined to call this laccaria sp. Maybe a strange pheno of laccaria amethystina.

Hopefully you're not printing on a white paper, because it's Laccaria species and has white spores.

I got printing on glass. I just got excited when I saw the purple on these. We will see what spores look like. Thanks

I know about the excitement, I also found a Laccaria species with a purple base some years ago. Found them few times after that, so probably not that uncommon.

I was thinking about Laccaria, but I guess the deposit will confirm any speculation.

With white deposit, I’d say Laccaria ochropurpurea is a pretty safe bet.
