It sure is. H13. You might be seeing the outside of the flowhood. It is a steel screen.

Picked up a 25x today from a retiring family practice doctor for $250
Said he bought it 6 years ago and only used it once every 4 weeks.

I'm looking behind the steel screen, those X's.
How deep is this filter? It looks like one of the real shallow 2" deep HEPA filters
Also just curious, what's the filter dimensions and blower model #/specs

Picked up a capsule machine to help me prep my microdose caps a bit quicker. When the capsules are full the come out to a nice .20 grams. It was a bit of a ball ache having to split the capsules and load them manually but aside from that it definitely sped up the process.

What kind of mushroom dude you use?
Do you guys think that I'd need to change the dose if I used APE or something similar?
I think I'd definitely have to cut back to .1 if I used Panaeolus.

I'd never put less in the caps, but I would just use less caps.

That lil orange blade lock between the handles gets in the way. Won't stay in one place. I ripped it off of mine. Got sick of it. Other than that... love 'em

lol, it is one of those cheap hepa filters... Also, its just a computer fan blowing into a closet with a hole through the wall where the filter is mounted. Still not sure just how good it works. Time will tell. Only room for improvement. Oh, and the stories these scissors could tell... Man O' Man...

With a computer fan, I highly doubt it'll do much of anything at all. Plenums are for building and evening out pressure, remember?

Have you seen the candle? The flow is even over the entire surface. Plenty of air. Nice clean gentle flow.

How did you get it to do that with only a computer fan?
In short, AFAIK, hepa filters usable for mycology have a resistance too high for a computer fan to overcome, meaning this shouldn't work. If it does, it stands to reason that it is not a filter usable for mycology. I really hope I'm wrong for your sake...
Keep us updated on the plates!

Oh, its not your basic computer fan. The output is comparable to a small blower. I will certainly keep everyone updated. I believe the reason for the proper draft is because of the closet airspace acts as a buffer for the air pressure. I have an empty bottle hooked up to my FAE delivery system and it acts as an air pressure buffer. Pretty neat shit. Anyway - I am making grains today and dropping some agar. Let the Trich wars begin!!!

Made one up the other day out of stuff laying around.
Didn't have enough aluminum screen to just put down a single piece... that's the trick.
Had to use one layer one way and a second layer the other.
Not ideal, but it is beating the brakes off of a bunch of colanders... for now...
