Mission Impossible: Fallout(2018)- 3.5/10

Could'nt wait to get out ov that theatre.  My ICEE ran dry, i had nothing to nibble on, the room was freezing, my company was somehow enjoying it, and i'm stuck there watching this 2.5hr long formulaic action jamboree.  Okay, i get it;  Tom Cruise is getting up there in years(which does'nt really show) and does his own stunts and that's impressive.  He's a great actor but he does'nt have action movie presence anymore.  You need to be be a certain type ov person to star in a film like this.  Tom Cruise looks like the brown nosing manager in an office job whose greatest passion ov the last 5 years was trading in his Camry for an entry level Lexus hybrid.  This movie is so lacking in character development and substance beyond Tom Cruise that the co-star ov the film is Ving Rhames' nose.  So for those who liked it, i respectfully disagree!

I’ve never seen any mission impossible movies, I couldn’t watch a whole movie with Tom Cruise. I liked Top Gun, but that was a long time ago.

But! I heard people at work say this was the best MI to date. So, yeah

The first Mission Impossible isn’t so bad. I didn’t know Brian DePalma directed it until I looked it up just now.

The Secret of NIMH 9/10

This is my GFs favorite movie from childhood. I really enjoyed this movie. Missed the first part of the movie. I really enjoyed the trippy magical aspects. Really creative production. The only gripe i had was the ending was too quick, and there was some continuity issues, like objects disappears from one cut scene to the next.

Overall, trippy ass cartoon movie. Psychedelic Approved :mushroom2:

you watched while high? was thinking of tripping to it with MY GF

Ready Player One

8/10

Entertaining but not without substance, I especially liked the part where they go into The Shining. Spielberg and Kubrick were very close friends, and very great care was taken in this segment of the movie. I was raised in the 80s, so many of the references were directed at my age group, to good effect. Good fun.

Was pretty surprised that the message of the movie was basically "reality is real". And to drive the point home they turn off the oasis every weekend? fuck that. a slap in the face to gamers 1/10

Pretty cool premise. Didn't really see it coming. I thought the ending could have been far better, but the rest of the movie is totally worth watching.

10/10 for worst movie endings ever. this shit has 97% lol

I was stoned when i watched The Secret of NIHM. Its definitely a good movie for any psychedelic.

Ready Player One was one of my favorite movies. Its like a video game converted to a movie. For kids at heart people only

The Cable Guy (1997)

Was pleasantly surprised by this one.  I saw it when I was a kid but I couldn't remember it at all.  Jim Carey really nails that character, and I thought it was a fairly realistic portrayal of a somewhat psychopathic individual.  The manipulation starts off fairly innocent but blossoms into something really menacing.  And it's incredibly funny.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978)
9/10

Up until the final scene I was planning to give it a  7/10, maybe an 8.  Did not see that coming.

The Brown Bunny(2003)- 10/10

IMDB score- 5.0/10.  Roger Ebert walked out ov the screening at Cannes and called it the worst movie to ever play there.  Yeah, fuck out ov here with that.  This is a phenomenal movie and will attain epic cult status in due time.  A minimalistic film with overwhelming focus on one character played by Vincent Gallo, who also happens to be the director, producer, writer, and editor.  But that's okay because this is one ov the deepest and darkest character portrayals i've ever seen.  The grit and realism ov Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer(1986) but ov a character completely innocent albeit immensely troubled.  Gallo plays a motorcycle racer crossing the country with his bike in the back ov an oh-so-appropriate black Dodge van, making brief interactions with troubled females yet searching for his lost love who appears in the revelatory end.

Is it a movie for everyone?  Fuck no.  Most are going to find it boring.  But do'nt ever call it a bad movie because one does'nt 'get it'!  In Gallo we see a type ov acting very rarely seen in modern cinema; the immensely telling silent play pinnacled by legends such as Steve Mcqueen yet without the tough exterior.  Those interacted with, however brief, also display this emotive quality ov wearing a lifetime ov complications on their faces.  The atmospherics and cinematography are superb, with the background noise ov everyday America and occasionally grainy and fading screen emphasizing the situational emotion.  Ditto for the soundtrack; though only 5 or so songs they all fit superbly.

This is one ov those films that if embraced leaves one in a wholly different state after watching, no matter any personal relation with it.  Fine art and a clear 10/10 to me.  And i rarely give those out!

I wanna see Christopher Robin. I've been pissed with this whole MoviePass situation, and waiting to see if things get better. Might have to just cough up the dough.

I loved Winnie the Pooh when I was kid. Wouldn't be surprised if I shed a tear or two at this movie, major nostalgia trip I'm sure.
