ID help please

Gidday, this is my first post, so thanks for having me. I live in the lower part of New Zealand and have only ever picked liberty caps further south than I am now. I always thought all libs looked the same until I looked around the net and found they can vary greatly, which worried me a bit.
I had a look round today a couple of days after rain, on a hillside with long grass and came across these. While they have some of the right qualities for libs, they look different from anything i have ever picked and I don't think they are right. Could someone please help ID them?
They were few and far between and I didn't find too many. The single one is just under 10cm long with 2cm diameter cap, and has dark brown gills and and a sort of light brown cap.
The small ones were all found in one spot. As far as colour, light brown turning yellowy brown after a while, and are about 4cm tall and from 4mm-10mm across the cap, gills are dark brown in the ones you can see them.
Sorry about picture quality, I'll blame the camera but i'd say it would blame me. This forum has already taught me a lot, so thanks everyone. Any help would be much appreciated.

We're going to need a spore print color and brusing reaction before we can make an ID. Please see the Forum Rules and Guidelines post so that you can provide us with proper details for identification.

Based on the over all appearance of the mushroom, the black print, the habitat, and the lack of brusing I'd say you have Panaeolus sphinctrinus... An inactive mushroom.

hey dnz
I am from Dunedin and have picked alot of Liberty Caps (PS. Semilanceata) in my time
Most of the shrooms in that bottom photo definitely look like Liberty Caps to me, albeit small ones. I am 95% sure. Try getting better pics next time
I don't know about the top picture. Definitely not a liberty cap

the absence of bruising would definitely tell me not to eat it.

From: mjshroomer "As for blue staining poisonous shrooms, those would be the Boleus mushrooms which some can be deadly. However, they have poruis bottoms and nbo gills and the psilocybian mushrooms have gills. So those can be eleiminated by sight. " oh ya, check this thread out.... http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...;o=&fpart=1

Cheers guys, I ditched the last ones but heres some I picked today. Sorry, another shoddy photo.
I'm doing a print now, will post it when it's done. What do ya think? Some very slight blue colouring, chocolaty gills and a fairly sticky cap.

Hey Dude. They look very much like the ones I picked yesterday. I'm also a happy man. Some of the ones I got had very blue bruising so were easy to ID. A bit more rain in Dunedin today so it's out again tomorrow for another look. Check my pics at:
