what is wrong with these shroomies. They keep growing long and skinny as hell. They are louisiana creeper w/ brf as substrate. the cakes were cased in straight verm and put in terrarium that keeps humidity around 95% and temps around 70.

Unsure as you havent given us much to go on,
what are you doing for air exchange? Have
you used any chemicals in the fruiting chamber?

i am fanning them a 4/5 times a day. and yes, i was kinda worried that the caulk i used to seal the plexiglass on the top of my lid would be an issue. could the fumes screw them up?

o, sorry. umm, just a normal light bulb. they are in the closet, so i just turn that light on. what type of light is best?

Actualy for light source, try going to somewhere like a garden store and asking them about lights with blue in it, mushies love blue lights... strains like cubensis will even grow towards blue lights they love them so much... im using some blue lights right now to grow LSA but i have my terrarium right next to my pots so they get some of the light too and they just love blue light... a blue bulb should only cost around 5$-8$ and its worth it trust me!

Just get a cool white flouro, thats all you need. They are cheap and stay cool. The humidity can drop to about 90%, might make a difference. Also next time you case just dont use straight vermiculite. Use a 50/50 mix of verm and peat moss. That could be apart of the problem as well. Is the water content in your casing good? And also with little more colonization on the top before fruiting it would have more then likly given you more pins and you probably might have given you much better results.

i used straight verm and got about an o from each of my 12"X8" casings. got the same results when i used peat moss. when i used staright verm, i put half an inch of verm on the bottom too, and water the casings every several days by pouring water in the sides so as not to touch the mycelium. stayed well hydrated throughout. maybe i just got lucky and found a system that works. i have heard that it is though to keep straight verm hydrated.

could be you have a bit of rosecomb, (mutatition caused by exposure to petroleum products) posible from the caulk.
but it looks to me more like a hummidity issue.
or possibly just a bad strain.

Would this be a CO2 exchange problem?
It could be, and that means you need more air exchange. Do a search on it and there will be plenty of info on that.
